Hey guys have a 1250 point tourney coming up on the 20th and i'd like some feedback on the list i'm going to be playing.

Elite
Sang priest - JP PW - 90
Furioso BT EA DP - 175

Troop
RAS x10 PF x2 MG - 235
RAS x10 PF x2 MG - 235

Baal - HB HKM - 155
Baal - FSC - 115

Dreadnought x2 TLAC - 120

This list lets me scout move up the baals and drop pod in to provide some good 1st turn pressure while moving up my jump troops, any thoughts concerns on any improvements that could be made?

Ok, I'm new to BA... so, just to get things straight:

I'm guessing "libby" refers to librarian? If so, what powers are you getting for him?

Same with the furisio, EA and DP. I'm guessing BT is blood talons. Extra Armor and Drop Pod?

RAS is Rhino Assault Squad?


Beyond these questions, at least I'm getting your list to the top for some real criticism

It looks pretty good. Move up the baals and drop in the furioso so they have a bunch of AV 13 in their face. This is similar to what I play at 2k.
The only suggestion I have would be to find points for a heavy flamer on the furioso. If you feel confident with your tank killing you could switch the meltas on one of the RASs to flamers and then have the points for the H. flamer. This would up your ability vs hordes quite a bit.

Bah missed the powers.

Powers will be Unleashed Rage & Shield of Sanguinus or Blood Lance with UR, been debating the flamer aspect, i figured with the FSC that it would be enough of a deterrent and with the blood talons scything through models left right and center it would provide pressure.
Definitely something that i will take a look at doing and have to playtest it out.

Ya, it just depends on what kind of meta you are expecting. I don't think there's anything wrong with your list as-is. That is just how I would switch it personally because I like the diversity.

Okay a couple of issues. Drop pw on sang priest, generally your opponent will take them out first. Next your heavy support dread is going to be left all alone and a good melta scout target. Hkm on the pred is a waste, fsc on the baal is a waste because it puts the pred in melta range. Also I would try to either add two more drop pods, generally you want to take a minimum of 3 dps, so you have 2 down on turn one. Also I like bf on the dread to maintain mech destruction with an bf, but bt are great against hordes so it depends on the opponents. Also I would run the baals with just tlac because usually you are constantly moving so you will only fire one weapon. I would try to dp two dreads and a third suicide squad. This gives you your two dreads down together to tear up and block los. Then you can bring in a suicide squad to back them up next turn while your RAS move up. Anyway just a few recommendations but, goodluck sir.

Your Dreadnoughts are going to get shot up, but in a 1250 tourny, theres not going to be a lot of scout meltas. My question is: Where are the Sang. priests? You get three for one elites slot. Take them cheap, either naked or with a jump pack, and no weapon upgrades. They give you a fnp bubble, so they should do medic stuff and nothing more. Also, I have had bad experiences with libbys, so I would suggest a reclusarch, as its a solid HQ that can do what it wants. But overall, not a bad list. Just remember, everything that can go wrong WILL go wrong, and you should do fine.
