I am building a list that is mainly imperial fists, led by 1st company captain Lysander:

Lysander- 200pts

10x Terminators, 2x Cyclones, -460pts

Troops
10x Tacticals, ML, meltagun, Sarge with Combi-melta/PF/Teleport Homer, Rhino with Dozer blades- 265pts
10x Tacticals, ML, Flamer, Sarge with Combi-flamer/PF/Teleport Homer, Rhino with Dozer blades- 260pts
10x Sniper Scouts, Camo Cloaks - 170pts

Fast Attack
Land Speeder Typhoon- 90pts
Land Speeder Typhoon- 90pts
Land Speeder Typhoon- 90pts

Heavy Support
Vindicator, Siege Shield- 125pts
Vindicator, Siege Shield- 125pts
Vindicator, Siege Shield- 125pts

Now the vindicators, Termies and troops defineatly fit the Imperial fists fluff, but im not so sure about the Land Speeders. I was thinking of painting them a different chapter to represent a combined force. The first chapter that came to my mind was ultramarines (I like their color).

What would a fluffy choice be to paint them (someone who would fight with imperial fists and use Land speeders normally). Same thing for the scouts I suppose.

I thought IF were a codex chapter no? If so speeders would be within their bag as well.

I think he means stereotypically they don't tend to use them as much.
Also it would be fine to paint them Ultramarines as it could represent a detachment sent to strengthen chapter ties or maybe a small part of a crusade force lead by the IF.

Also you could make an IF successor chapter that is more traditional.

But yea allies if you want is fine.

OOH OOH they could be Deathwatch. IF primarily and with other units seconded to Deathwatch.

Yer chapters join forces all the time, in campaigns they decide a commander to direct all the space marines actions. seeing as a chapter's detachment to a specific campaign could contain only certain types of squads the commander could mix chapters together to make an optimal force for a conflict.

I am doing the same thing with one of my chapter.

landspeeders may not be fluffy as a whole, but Typhoons definitly fit the Fists more so then any other type.

White Scars 3rd Company? On a hunt that's brought them into a conflict zone where IF's are present?

Land Speeders would suit them I should think.

Land speeders are fluffy, they adhere to the codex just as tightly as the ultramarines, so they have to have the assault companies and squads in the battle companies with speeder/bikers/jump packs.
Just because a chapter is good or prefer seige warfare doesnt mean thats all they do.

It will affect their deployments, numbers and feelings on them.
In some chapter they might be looked down on while in others they could be seen as the last word in mobile warfare.
IF are generally steretyped as static defense and although LS can contribute to this they can take better things (Fluffwise) for defense.
