It looks converted. However it resembles one of the heads off the Empire Free Company set from WHFB.

Pretty sure it's an unconverted bit off the old Middenheim Sprue, or "hairy head" sprue.
Not sure if it's made at the moment. They used to put it in with the Empire Knightly Order box to make Knights of the White Wolf, but that was a while ago and may not be the case anymore.

Haven't seen that picture. But are you thinking about having IG's with beard, or were you just curious about it?

I would love to have IGs with a beard, but I at least want 1 or 2 for special characters. I like beards and aspire to have one like that IRL.

Ask a Space Wolves player for a spare

I think the wolf pack(?) box comes with some ridiculous amount of heads (many, quite hairy)
If I'm thinking of the right thing, I seem to remember that some of those Space Wolves heads are ported over from fantasy.

That head did indeed come with the empire knights kit before the current empire army book came out, Look for someone that has been collecting empire a while, about five years as i dont think the current box set has the parts for knights of the white wolf. As they are not in the army book anymore.
