Right now I have a Plague Furnace and won a game with it. Just wondering how the Grey Seer on Screaming Bell is compared to the Plague Priest on Plague Furnace. I know they're too different units/roles but just kinda hoping somebody has experience with both and could maybe give some feedback on why one is better than the other.

Random devastation and effect vs a more predictable out come that is Plague Furnace , which do you fancy?

I'm kinda considering switching to a Screaming Bell. The longer ranged spells of the Grey Seer might better suit me. Plus then I can use my 40 plague monks on a flank instead of hauling a furnace. Then again clan rats hauling the bell seems like a waste too. Hard to choose lol.

there are pro's and cons of both IMO. I have great success with the Bell, and I love the model.

Pro of the Bell :

4+ Ward Save.
Magic Resistance +2
Can Enhance entire army.
Allows Grey Seers to dodge Challenges.
Can be put into units which have armor saves!

and if you are really lucky, anyone messing around with Life spell shenanigans can get squashed with the previously most useless ring of all t7 models take d3 wounds immediately! lololol.

Pro of the Furnace :

Reliable, you know what it does and what you need to do you get it to work
Close Combat oriented, can hold its own in combat, which is where the unit pushing is supposed to be.
Cheaper in points.
MR +2

Have fun!

This!!!

But for me I were to only take 1 (due to point restrictions), I would go for the Plague furnace...as it is more of a "hammer" unit, which is something the Skaven army needs in addition to the HPA and doomwheel....

Rat Ogres are quite fragile in my observation....so I am not too keen on them....
