Just wondered if a Tau player could help me....

I've been given the bits to make a Tau firewarrior with the aim of adding him to my mixed race Guardsmen (see sig for details), I was kindly given the bare head piece, however I want to remove the silly hair braid bit.

My problem is, with knowing next to nothing about Tau... is it Hair or some strange head dangley bit? would a Tau cut it off if it was hair? or does this braid have some deep and meaningful err meaning?

any help would be great.

There is no real fluff to my knowledge.

hair is hair in Tau. They dont have much if any of it.
If you chop off his arm or leg however, then i think he would object.

The hair on a Tau is an ancient honorary ritual where they grow up and cut all their hair aside from the long strand out see there. As dictated by ancient shas'vre Masamune from the olden times, the Tau Fire Warrior, when recieving their first bonding knife, shall undergo the ritualistic and honorary path of Bu'shi'do and not cut their hair.

Cutting their hair is a disgrace to Taukind.

That all being said, cut it off.

All of my Fire Warriors are intelligent enough to wear a helmet in battle.

Would actually look really cool, and not that hard to pull off with GS. Could use a Daemonette as a visual aide, lots of good mohawks in that kit.
