Hey guys,
So I finally knocked out a decent chunk of the Tau Battleforce; coupled with the two suits I had prior, I'm pretty happy on where this is going right now.
Some notes: I'm not quite happy with the Stealth Suits right now, the transforming effect didn't work as well as it did on the commission ones I did, its probably the colours.
Also, the blue headed suit is the leader of one of the Elite Suit teams, I have the FW XV85 coming for the Army Commander
Anyways, less blathering from me, lets see what you guys think!

The flying stand stalks actually look much better in person than they do in these pictures. Its supposed to have the effect of blowing up snow, but I might have to play with it a bit more.

I have a tutorial for building Shield Drones like that up on my blog, look under the Tutorials section!

Any comments or critiques are appreciated!
Thanks,
Granesh

Looks good esp for the winter scheme. I figured out the snowflakes - I say stick with it

I always love snow schemes, but the grey in this one I feel is too close to the naked color of the plastic sprue, so it looks too... bland? Maybe if you mixed in more blue or a darker grey it would give them more color? They don't look bad, just my personal preference on that particular grey.

For the flying stands, did you try leaving the rod clear and just putting white patches on that? On a white background the "flakes" wouldn't show but on any other color playing field the rod would be less obvious and the snow flakes would pop out more.

I think Tau are great to paint...and you have done them well, nice use of the grey, blue and white

But the only good Tau do, is run away and die
