Okay, my last post apparently was not clear enough for some. So, "to discuss 40k rules interpretations", I am here to ask, what are the rules for converted models, in relation to size (mostly radius) for battle? Do converted models have to have the same dimensions as far as what they are to represent or what?

Technically speaking they don't "have" to be any specific size, but most people will refuse to play you if you try to, for example, have something the size of a land speeder count as a valkyrie. It's generally considered poor sportsmanship to model for advantage, and many (rightly IMO) refuse to play people who do. If the model in question doesn't have an official model yet, you're in a bit murkier water. My advice would be to try to keep the size as reasonable as possible, so no half-inch Doom of Malan'tai etc.

Officially, there are none.
Do converted models have to have the same dimensions as far as what they are to represent or what?
As there are no official rules, that's down to you and your opponent, or the event organiser in the case of organised games.
As a rule of thumb, though, you're less likely to get objections to the model if it's more or less in line with the official version of the model, if there is one.

Thank you AW for that answer. I am willing to shave a customized model down to a similar radius of the model it is to represent in all fairness.

yeah, just try to stick to whatever size its supposed to be. the only rules for modelling that we have are that you're supposed to use official GW figs ($$$$ for the company) and use the bases provided with the mini you're using as a basis. for example, if something stat-wise is going to be in terminator armor, i'd recommend modelling it about the same size (slightly taller and bulkier than a power armored marine) and on the base that most terminators use (40mm).

DeVileon: You would be hard pressed to find an opponent who won't play you because you model is "too large". In most cases the "rule of cool" prevails no matter what size your model is(even slightly smaller, but within reason).
For Example: I field a 1/48th Panzerkampfwagon as my orks Looted wagon with boom-gun, it is slightly smaller than a GW Trukk model(the "boom-gun" is actually Thinner than both Big Shootas that are on it), but the way I converted it and the Paintjob I gave it both look cool; So I have never had any problems with using it.

As long as you stay within reason most people womt care, if you moddle the doom for example on a 60mm base some people may object because of the huge radius that gives his ability. Now if you moddle a slightly larger ork veichle and gets no real advantage from it, nobody would care.

Thank you everybody for your answers. I think there could be some problems with blast templates and line of sight. So, I might just keep them around as tokens to some kind of fluff for now.

Some of it really does come down to whether or not you're trying to gain an advantage with it though. For example:
A trygon standing up is the way they come.
A popular conversion is to have it lunging forward. This decreases the height, and is arguably "cheesy".
Modeling just a trygon headpiece on the front of the oval with some slating in its wake to show it "tunneling", is a nice way to save money on a model AND to get slapped in the face if you try and claim no one can draw LOS to it because its so short (under the ground, even). Its a nice conversion, but for LOS and cover saves, I'll happily interchange a regular trygon, or just not argue that its getting cover. To do so would be silly, and violate the spirit of the game.
