Sorry to keep askin' random questions, but this time, I HAVE TWO! Bwahahaaaa!

One: Mephiston attacking a vehicle with Sword of Sanguinius. Let's get To Hit out of the way, and assume the vehicle is a LRBT that didn't move. Now, to penetrate... OH NOES! Mephiston has Strength 10 from Sword of Sanguinius! Back armor of the LRBT is 10! Does this mean that all hits automatically penetrate? Because 10 + 1 is gonna be 11, and 11 is definitely more than 10.

Two: A dreadnought is going to assault something, and it gets into base-to-base with the enemy, the enemy being in base-to-base with the front of the dread. Does the other guy hit rear or front? I always assumed rear, but a recent BoW video is making me confused. Is it different for walkers?

"Hah! Mephiston uses Sword of Sanguininus!"

1. Yes, even if you roll a 1 you penetrate the AV 10.

2. Unless a walker is immobalized, even if it is surrounded, everyone hits front armor. It just whirls around real fast like.

Yes

Walkers are always hit on the front armor in CC. Page 73 in the rulebook.

Of course Str 10 automatically penetrates armor 10. You can roll dice, but its gonna be the same result regardless. Its not like rolling to hit or to wound where a 1 is a fail regardless of strength/toughness or BS ect.

Walkers are always hit in front armor during assaults. They are hit against with weapon skill. Grenades need a 6 to hit against them (front armor), but when the walker is immobilized then grenades are using weapon skill. Dreadnoughts use the walker rules

Funny note about a walker in assault in addition to needing a 6 to hit with a grenade, if it's shaken & stunned it can't run you down

It can't perform a sweeping advance if it is stunned or immobilised. Shaken has nothing to do with it.
