Are you not playing with force organization? We might need more information, but it looks pretty good for what it is.

I wish I hadn't thought the Username field was just Confirm Email Address. I should really READ things rather than just skimming them.

are you trying to make an army out of an online purchase? If so go with a can wall and spend a couple bucks on kff mek and some kanz or trade with others on the forum to get what you need.

what point level are you going to be playing at? what are the types of armies that will be played against? these are the things we need to know.

glad to help but need more cowbell!!!

I must say i'm totally confused.... 7 heavy supports? ok, if ther ewere 6 I'd say it's some kind of double lists...

Anyways, definitely get rid of gretchins, deff dreads and looted wagons... If there are 6 or 7 HS slots, I'd add rokkid deff dreads to fill it all and green tide of boyz with nob PK leading them plus KFF meks to give 4+ cover... Should work...

Hi! Welcome to 40k.

In a standard game you are restricted to work within what's called the Force Organization Chart. What that means is that you're required to field at Minimum:

1 HQ Unit
2 Troops Units

And you can upgrade your army with the following:

1 Additional HQ Unit
3 Elite Units
4 Additional Troops Units
3 Fast Attack Units
3 Heavy Support Units

Which would mean an absolute MAXIMUM of:

2 HQ Units
3 Elite Units
6 Troops Units
3 Fast Attack Units
3 Heavy Support Units

It seems that the list you've posted goes well beyond those limitations. In order to make a list "competitive" you will have to restrict your army in that way.

How many points are you intending to play with competitively? My understanding is that most tournaments play from anywhere to the 1,000-2,500 point range. Find out what point value your local tournament scene plays at, but let's for argument's sake assume it's 1,750, a very traditional tournament size, and begin working out what units and models you'd field for that, which is convenient because you've already got some cuts to make.

Your codex allows you to upgrade your models in your units at the cost of points. Upgrading can make your models significantly better; it's not just about putting as many pieces on the table as you possibly can. For instance, a unit of 30 Ork Boyz might be better suited with a Nob with a Power Klaw and Boss Pole (and all 30 man Boyz Mobs should have Shootas and no special guns!). This would raise the point value of your Boyz Mob to 225 points per unit. A Boyz Mob should be considered a "Power Klaw Delivery Device" which will hopefully soften enemy resistance as it marches across the field, soaking up wounds until the Power Klaw Nob can get stuck in, where it can do some real damage.

I hope this helps point you in the right direction.

- Frosty Hardtop - - 4000 points - - 1000 points and rising.

The Meganob unit is not legal, it must have three models; otherwise, yes it's Apocalypse-legal.

It's not really ready for Apocalypse though, unless your opponents are similarly ill-equipped.

Nobs are great, but they need to be equipped properly, and they need transport.

Mobz should be big, you're pretty short on boyz. I sometimes roll with a mob of 100 (Da Green Tide), two of 30 and three of 12.

Where is Ghazghkull? You can't play Apocalypse without Ghaz, it is not allowed. Well, okay, it's allowed but it's CRAZY! Ghaz plus Da Big Waagh! strategic asset is just too much fun.

Grotsnik is required for Apocalypse. Get the Characters and the Meganobs his cybork upgrade and then stick him with the biggest mob of boyz you've got - this where the Green Tide comes in handy - add a KFF Mek and get them out front.

A Stompa or two are recommended as well. It's not really Apocalypse without a superheavy or three. I also love my Skullhamma (converted from a Stormlord).

The Grots are mostly useless, but a unit or two to sit on objectives and fill up the points is okay.

A short list of recommendations:
Ghazghkull
Grotsnik
Big Meks with Kustom-force field - at least two
A Stompa - use the Dreds with it in an Apocalypse Dred Mob formation
Diversify the Nobs, that is, equip them all differently.
Get transports for the Nobs.
Additional Warbosses are a good idea. If you get one for each of the three Nob mobs, you can play Ghazghkull's Bully Boyz from Apocalypse: Reload - an AWESOME formation. You'll need Ghaz as well as a legal Meganob unit too.
More boyz. 90 is about right for a regular 40K game, it's a bit light for Apocalypse.
Buzzsaw 'Koptas are awesome in any Ork Army.

You need Apocalypse and Apocalypse: Reload for sure, the Imperial Armour: Apocalypse books are less useful, but I use the Tanka Mob from the first one.

This is a start. I'd post the 10K Waagh! list for you, but that's a bit much, plus it would take a really long time to type.

if you are new to the game start small not big. Go with a painted, based and flocked 1000pts and play a few games then add in (from what you have) what you think will help. even if you are only new to orks it is better to learn the army then to find out how to get tabled.
