Right, over on another forum there is a small discussion over the wargear options of the Blood Angels Honor Guard.

tldr version =

Can an upgraded Blood Champion (and/or Sanguinary Noviate) take further wargear options.

Bit more info from the 'dex

I've just had a quick glance at my 'dex

"Unit Composition:
4 Honor Guard
1 Sanguinary Noviate"

"Options:

Any Honour Guard can replace his boltgun with, chainsword and/or bolt pistol with:

- list
- of
- wargear"

Then quickly looking back to unit comp and the stats box - it has Honor Guard / Sang Nov / Blood Champ - which in literal terms would incline me now to think that only the Honor Guard themselves can recieve actual upgrade.

As above initially I'd have thought the BC at least could take further upgrades (why would you, but thats not the point) the sang noviate is certainly one I wish to know myself, I always assume no, but this thread has put doubt in my head.

Anyone able to clear this up, especially from a tourney list POV.

Only honor Guard; not the Sang initiate, nor blood Champ.

Similarly the SI and BC cannot carry the Banner.

You can tell all this because of how the Jump pack options are listed: "The entire squad can have jump packs"

Then all other options(including Melta bombs for some reason) are honor guard only.

See thats what I said, but people were insisting otherwise.
