The Claw

Scenario: The defenders are trapped by a ring of encroaching enemies, and are trapped within a fort. They have sent out a broadcast from the communications tower that lies in the center of the base, with hopes that allies will send reinforcements. The attackers are determines to destroy the tower, and end the transmission, quashing the defender's hope for rescue. The attackers have also managed to locate an underground tunnel network, and have sent a small number of troops into them, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Victory for Defenders: If at the end of the game, the communications tower has not been destroyed, if the attacking force has been driven off destroyed, or if the defenders have a higher number of points than the attackers, the defenders claim victory.

Victory for Attackers: If at the end of the game, the communications tower is destroyed, or if the defenders have been killed to the last man, or if the attackers have a higher number of points than the defenders, the attackers claim victory.

Special Rules

Deployment- Pitched Battle.
Bunkers- There are two bunkers in the fort, they have an armour value of 14 all around. They can hold a single unit of infantry models.
The Communications Tower- The communications tower has an armour value of 14 all around.
Tunnels- The attackers may elect to give the Infiltrate special rule to a single squad of infantry units.
Backs Against The Wall- All of the defenders' units have the Fearless special rule.
Demolition Teams- All of the attacker's infantry units have melta bombs.
Edge Of Victory- The attackers may have up to 100 points more than the defenders.

Objectives
Only infantry units can hold objectives and earn points for doing so. As long as an objective is controlled, the controlling player or team earns a point at the start of their turn if it is still under their control. You require at least a single infantry unit within 2" of the objective marker to be able to score.
The Gate
The Bunkers
The Warehouse (2 points each turn)

I think its not really worth giving 100 extra points, i think it probably should be more, i made a mission kind of like this

How many points would you suggest? At the time, we have rather small armies.

Probably 250-500 then you have to keep as much of your army alive as possible to counter the additional enemies

So which ones trump which? When I (as the attacker) first turn shoot/pen/asplode your comm tower with any of my multiple vendettas, and then just camp out until end of game, ensuring I still have stuff on the board, thus giving you more objectives, who wins?

Also, you might want to give the comm tower structure points or void shields or something, just to keep me from first turn winning the game.

You could use the rules for the fangs gate scenario, 'any shooting attacks originating from more 24" away have no effect'

Then you might have to make a big wall, or a shield generator, something to protect it

The only issue with the communications tower is that turn 1 somebody could have a lucky lascannon shot or ordnance blast and it's game over. It would be a lot more compelling if the only way to destroy it for mission purposes would be to have a demolitions team end up in base contact with it. Say any troops choice on the attacking side can destroy it by beginning a turn in base contact with it. Just another thought to keep things moving on the table.

Yeah.
Maybe a rule where you assign a single troop choice to be your demo team. They are carrying the copious amount of explosive and once they assault the comms tower they attack as tough using meltabombs or something. Or once they get with in base-to-base contact with the tower they plant the explosives which go off on the next attacker turn.
