Can the GW vise hold plastic parts down to 2 cubic mm tight enough to file flat surfaces without mooshing the details against the vise grips?

tight and plastic and details in the same sentence with vise ? wouldnt dream of it doing it...i would be very careful...
there are some mini vices. i have one thats really a thing like a holder to put some files in. it has a screw to hold the files thight so i can use it as a mini vice. will post a pic if you want tomorrow...

Dressing forceps (first-aid kit type) with the rounded tips work well for model work ('s what I use).
You can get modelmakers vices with cushioned jaws which will hold firmly without squishing the pieces.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

and something not to be sneezed at: cloth pegs... the wooden ones i use for almost anything... you cant get any cheaper than this...
