So a little background. I'm not into Chaos Marines just yet. I'll have to wait until I get my Christmas money to start gathering my army(ies). My main force will be Khorne, which I plan on turning Apocalyptic. I want to make a "special character" for my individual armies (1 for each Chaos legion eventually), and I'm in the idea stage right now. I haven't even bought the Codex yet, so sorry if I seem somewhat unknowledgable.. Here goes -

Khorne Lord - I've already made this guy.

Lord in Terminator Armor with a TL Bolter, Lightning Claw, Daemonic Weapon, and Mark of Khorne. His special rule is Furious Charge, like that of the Khorne Berserkers.

The Lightning Claw is there for looks mostly, but my friends will let me use it as well as long as I pay the extra points for it. He's obviously going to be for killing things, lacking in his own survival. I will probably make a power armor version later on.

Nurgle Lord - I've decided on what this guy will be like already.

Lord in Terminator Armor with a TL Bolter, Daemonic Weapon, and Mark of Nurgle. His special rule is Feel No Pain, like the Plague Marines. I want him to be sort of a survivalist assaulter.

Slaanesh Lord - I can't decide between giving her some kind of big doom siren or some close combat specialness. I'm leaning towards the doom siren, though. I want her to be a shooting "rain of death" type leader.

Lord with Boosted Doom Siren, power weapon, and Mark of Slaanesh. Her special rule is ???? I don't know what to give her.

Tzeentch Sorcerer - This guy should be pretty straight forward really. I want him to be a survivalist shooty kinda guy.

Sorcerer in Terminator Armor with Daemonic Weapon, Bolt Pistol, and Mark of Tzeentch. His special rule is ???? I thought of giving him a sort of "force field". Something along the lines of "If a unit fires at the Sorcerer or any unit he is joined with, your opponent must re-roll all his successful rolls to Hit." But if someone has a better idea please let me know.

So does anyone have any ideas for the last two? I'm mostly struggling with special rules. I want them to be good and give a new spin to the armies, but I don't want to make them overkill.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

What is your proposed rule?

Methinks you want the: 40K General Discussion forum.

and we aren't allowed to post specific rules like that. GW holds the copyright and could shut the site down, etc...

We can help clarify an unclear section of the rules, but answering your question isn't allowed.

grab a quick look at the codex for the specifics.

Well I'm not asking for any GW rules. I've reviewed their universal special rules and haven't found anything suiting.

I'm asking for ideas on proposed rules that would be a boost to the individual characters and their proposed tactics in their descriptions.

Totally made up rules. Mostly to spur my imagination, if not give me some really good base to go from.

When I said "His/Her special rule is ????", I mean does anyone have any cool ideas for a proposed special rule for the particular character? Nothing insanely fancy, but still half decent.

For example, The Slaanesh Lord. She and her army will be focused around shooting. I would like some sort of special rule revolving around her own shooting capabilities with her (probably TL) Doom Siren. Like a bonus to her range, or an added effect to it.

in that case, the Slaanesh Lord you could give relentless. though the doom siren is a template so that may not work.(and i don't know how you would figure out a cost for this)

and for the Tzeentch Sorcerer either some sort of invuln save, or he and any unit he joins makes any unit shooting at them roll as if they were under night fight rules.

The Doom Siren is an assault weapon so it doesn't need relentless. The universal rules really don't help this character in a way that would be extremely beneficial.

I thought about just giving the Tzeentch sorcerer an insane invul. save, but he already has a decent one on top of a 2+ armor save. The night fighting shield is a definite thought, thank you.

Just an after thought, but please warn me before you move one of my posts. That really confused me.

You can't take a daemon weapon and a lightning claw....Well..With a TL bolter at least. Seems okay. Give him like 6 strength and he'll be cool. And fleet.

Anyway, I like the idea. So I'll contruboot.

Blood God's touch- The warrior is an unimaginable killing machine. He may fire his weapon three times in the shooting phase. If the weapon is TL'ed, it loses that affect. Furthermore, the warrior has survived countless unimaginable battles. Once per turn, roll a D6. On a roll of 4+, the model gains wound (up to a maximum of 8). This roll can be made whether the model has taken wounds or not.

Something like that

... I love that and you are now my friend. Lol. I'll definitely run that by my friends just to see how it works. XD

The lightning claw is there for looks, keeping in mind all of this is preapproved for friendly games here. In a normal game I'd just pretend it's not there.

Thanks for that idea, it's awesome.
