This is my first time taking a swing at BA's so I'm hoping I'm doing it right. (I'm limited to models.)
I'd like to know if these should be equipped differently, and what guns should my dreads have.

Example should I have more equips for my HQ's, should I run Auto Cannons on my dread instead?

HQ: [300]

First off, Welcome to DAKKA!

on to the list.

1 Libraian (Terminator Armor/JP) 150 points.

Libraian with Terminator Armor can not take Jump Packs.

so that clears up 50 points for the both of them.

I usually run my Lib's as stock lib's

The drop pods for the heavy support dreads are an interesting choice. as for armament, the Lascannons are nice, the AC's are ok too, maybe throw 1 heavy dread with AC's. But if you are dropping the dreads to pop vehicles keep the Multi-Melta's they come with. dropped next to a vehicle and side armor is penned almost automatically.

Since you only have 1 fast attack choice, I would probably split up the 3 Land Speeder Squadron (Mulit-Melta) into 3 separate units. (depending on opponent and scenario)

If its a tourney list I would recommend padding your troop selections a bit. It's going to be difficult at best to hold objectives with 2 5 man squads.
Also, put a H. flamer on your furioso. It's way worth it

I am not positive, but I think your points are off. The VVs should be 220 total (With one Lightning Claw each) and Heavy Support should be 450 total.

That said, putting VVs in a Drop Pod seems strange. They loose HI if they don’t have Jump Packs. If you are not planning on using them with HI, you might be bettered served by using and Honour Guard. Running a Power Fist and 3 Lightning Claws is the same cost. You give up one Veteran with Lightning Claw, 3 attacks on the charge, and gain a Sanguinary Novitiate.

It looks like you might be planning on reserving your entire list. I am not sure about trying to Deep Strike the Land Raider. It is, with the Terminators in it, a large chunk of your army that might not show up until late (It does not benefit from DoA and neither do the Land Speeders)

If you are not planning on reserving the Land Raider, and possibly the Land Speeders, they will potentially be facing a great deal of fire in any game that you do not have first turn.

I should have mentioned that Drop Pods also do not benefit from DoA.

Decided to do away with the LR and Termies... I'm at 1410 any suggestions?

I would add a Sanguinary or an Honour Guard, with Honour Guard being my preference, another Furioso in a Drop Pod (You want an odd number of Drop Pods since 1/2 arrive turn 1, rounded up) You can kit the Honour Guard similarly to the VVs. Maybe spread some Storm Shields around, 1 for each Sgt, one for the HGs and one for the VVs. That should get you most of the way to 1850. Maybe some meltaguns or melta bombs. Flamers are also an option, nothing like softening up a hoard before charging into it.

I would strongly recommend to get a third troop choice with your remaining points. It really seems difficult to win in an objective based game with only 2 five man units...

my 2 cents anyway.

Drop the drop pod for the Furioso, make it a librarian and give it the Wings of Sanguinus. There's nothing like a dread moving like jump inf.

Take the Lightning claws off of the VG squad and give them all melta bombs. Its cheaper and one of them gets a free power weapon anyway which you can up to a powerfist for +10. Add another VG squad w/same or similar make up. These are the only unit that can deep strike (w/in 6 inches because of descent of angels) and assault in the same turn. Use these guys to pop armor from deep strike

4 dreads seems odd to me in a BA list as they are a fast assault oriented army. Taking a Storm raven is not bad as you can drop off a dread and have it assault same turn.

More troops...mostly of the assault variety. With jump packs or in razorbacks (w/ discounted TL Lascannons). Add a Sang priest to as many as you can afford.

Almost all BA tanks are fast so even plain Predators deserve a look. AC w/HB sponsons is only 100 points - move 12' shoot AC (that would be a 60' range - its only str 7, but you get two shots) or move 18 and pop smoke.

Lastly, where is Mephiston?????????????

You can proxy other items for some of the models. Use masking tape on the base to denote which squad is which. My VG squads are actually just assault marines with gold (instead of yellow) heads.

I've played several games without WYSIWYG. Proxying can let you try an army out without dropping an arm and a leg.

Try Mephiston. Just proxy a captain. You wont be disappointed.

Glad to hear it.

How did Mephiston do?

The SG are tough. I've run them a couple of times without much success and they are crazy expesive. Vanguards are much cheaper and you get Heroic Intervention.

Buy a Sang Priest for each of those assault squads @75pts (50 + 25 for Jump Packs). Each squad gets Feel No Pain and Furious Charge. Totally worth it.

i would thoroughly reccommend sang priests, since i integraded them into my blood angels assault squads i find the extra S and I in close combat is really handy and also the FNP saves have kept my guys hanging in their and tying up an opponent for a turn or two. I run a 1750 list with a stock librarian and he does grand!! I played my friends Eldar army this week and didn't lose a single troop, which i was quite amazed at! lost a Razorback and two baal preds though!!!

Mephiston did his job, I had him walk and jump behind my units to avoid shots, and the only one I took was rolling double 6.
When he attacked the squad with Yarrick and Straken, he annihilated everything that he got to hit.
Then my remaining Sergeants took out Yarrick with their power fists.

I enjoy the Sang Guard a lot, are they recommended or is it merely preference?

I already have two elite choices, so would I instead make the squads 2x10 and 1x5? I would like some help so I could pop in the Sang Priest.
