If a Farseer uses fortune/guide/doom on a squad consisting of a unit and an IC, what happens when the IC splits with the squad while they power is still active and why?

If Bruce Lee is advocate and does kick someone between the legs in a fight, why would I be to good to do it?

My fighting style: Hit em hard, hit em fast, hit em where it hurts, hit em where they can't see you or hit back.

It's funny how everyone wants their opponent list to be fun to play against and yet their own playlists are often tough as nails and impossible to modify.-Q'iq'el on ATT

2 for the price of one, huh? Lemme get back to this.

From the INAT:

+ELD.28B.01/ELD.28D.01/ELD.28E.01
Q:  If  a  unit   containing  a  joined  Independent  Character  has 'fortune', 'doom' or 'guide' cast on it, and the character  subsequently  leaves  the  unit,  does  the   power  continue  to  affect  the  IC?

A:  No,  it  will  only  affect  the  IC  while  he  is  joined  to  that  unit   [clarification].

So, since they (the INAT guys) addressed it, it's probably ambiguous in debate.

Alright, sounds good...Although 2 for 1 seems most logical...Ah well, Thanks

You cast the power on the unit, which technically no longer exists when the IC leaves - it is no longer "unit+IC" but "unit"

So the way most people play it is that, as you cannot pick out the IC when casting, that the power only affects the main unit.
