I've been looking into BFG for some time, and each time I look at the Eldar models the more I want a force of them. They are by far the best looking miniatures GW have made that over 5 years old.

With that in mind I managed to come up with the following 2K list:

Voidstalker (prince) - 380 (480)
Shadow clas cruiser - 210
eclipse class cruiser - 250
2 Aurora - 2800

7 hemlock - 300
7 nightshade - 300
3 Aconite - 195

What do you think? Will this last longer than two turns?

Also, from the more experianced BFG generals, what good tactics do you guys have for working with Eldar in BFG. I know that these guys work in a completely different way to any other race in the game.

Hi,

Corsair Eldar are a top of the bill fleet. Your fleet selection is pretty solid and good. One thing I would change is dropping the Shadow and add more escorts (2 Nightshade & 2 Hemlocks to get 9 of each = 3 squads of 3 per type). Add re-roll for remaining points.

Such a fleet will last, depends on the fact how hard you destroyed the opponent if the battle ends after turn 2.

Yes, Eldar play different, not advised to beginners. With Eldar you'll learn to play Eldar, not Battlefleet Gothic.

Tactic wise? Be a git. If hiding is needed : do so. Even if this means six turns of none shooting. Make your movement & placement count.

Hee hee, welcome to the game! Horizon has some solid suggestions there. Just make sure to be really protective of your cruisers; the fact that they can be crippled makes them a little more vulnerable than your escorts. Still worth taking (I love the Aurora!), but as Horizon suggested they require patience and a deft touch to use.

Horizon and Ruckdog make solid points! Run and hide, only attempting to fire when the situation is best for you.
