I just wanted to get a thread going of our most beloved ships to the game. Now just tell us what your favorite ship (capital, escort, hulk, etc) and give us the reason why. It could be for look, armaments, fluff, or for some other reason. Let it be known!


My favorite ship is the Chaos Desolator Battleship. Mainly because of it is a cheap battleship with many 60cm Lances, plus its speed doesn't hurt one bit.

My favourite is the Eldar Void Dragon Class Grand Cruiser (Flame of Asuryan) called Spirit of Arina in my fleet.

It has an awesome sleek, cool look to it. It is special, it has lots of firepower and can destroy cruisers in 1 turn. It also has enemy battleships on its kill-count.

Same fav being the Flame of Asuryan, though I'm partial to all things Eldar ;D

The shear look of the model is downright beautiful though converted mine for more of a offensive look and to fit my Craftworld.

Emperor class battleship.

I have always loved the looks of the Retribution class battleship. It just has a balanced and powerful feel to it IMO. As I've mentioned before in Dakka Discussions, this model is not only my favorite BFG ship, but my favorite GW model as well .

Whilst I greatly favour the Imperial Navy over the chaos fleet ships in general...

I love the Repulsive Grand Cruiser. Perhaps it's the stockier prow than the chaos cruiser one.

I also really liked those nicassar ships.

Favorite ship in play? Murder for Chaos.

60cm Prow lances, get off ~2 rounds of lock on firing before much fo a threat. then 10 45cm batteries on each side. 2 shields, 2 turrets and 25cm speed... what more can you ask for? all for 175 points.

Favorite looking? Scythe looks pretty sweet, and I like the adeptus mechanus battleships.

I'd say, but it's a project that's not ready for display yet.
