It seems that if one model has a camo cloak then the entire squad has the benefit. The Guant's Ghost army is more feasible. (the lord commisar's cloak can give an entire blob the benefits)

This wasn't 'brought about by the new FAQ'... The FAQ is merely clarifying how Stealth works for those who are unsure. It's worked that way since the start of 5th edition.
