Hey again, heres is a list of a cheap ranged goblin army, please feedback on changes and such, if it needs improvement though.

Goblin Warboss 168 pts
Enchanted Shield
The Horn of Urgok
Shrieking Blade (Fear)
Obsidian Lodestone (Magic Resistance 3)
Light Armour

Night Goblin Big Boss 107 pts
Battle Standard Bearer
Bad Moon on a Stick (Stubborn to Night Goblins)
Light Armour

Night Goblins 255 pts
50 Night Goblins 10x5 ranks
Spears
Nets
Full Command

Snotlings 80 pts
4 Snotling Swarms

Night Goblin Squig Herd 90 pts
3 Squig Herd Teams

4 x Goblin Spear Chukka 140 pts

2 x Goblin Doom Diver Catapult 160 pts

The Warboss and the Big Boss Battle Standard are both in 50 Night Goblin unit, giving this horde, Fear Stubborn and Magic Resistance 3, + the best goblin leadership (8), and it can be improved with the horn of urgok.

I freakin love it!! Thoughts:
1. with new melée rules. Your heros are much more vulnerable... That bsb, although cool, should be expected to die in round 1, perhaps better armor would be worth losing the magic banner? Your giant unit will be stubborn in most instances, and I feel the psychology rerolling is his biggest asset to your list... Imo I would lose two chukkas, for three* fanatics; a snotling base and the fear blade for either a great cave squig or a cheap wizard!

Edit: mr(3) is also a but overkill at this lvl, IMO. I would think 1 would be enough, and mr 2 will ensure that your weaker units are targeted... If you wanna free up more pts

There is a bad thing about the fantatics, im not mobile, and i got one main unit, if the fanatics should batter into my main horde its gonna cause lutz and lutz of damage, and the chances of that happening at three fanatics is very high.
The fear im not gonna loose sorry, with horn of urgok (that can give -1 to enemy leadership, and +1 to mine) and taking account that all my Night Goblins are wielding spears, the happening of reducing enemy weapon skill to 1 makes sure that i actually hits with the goblins and i got alot of attacks, so 10 pts for fear is all worth it.

My Night Goblin Big Boss and Goblin Warboss got the best armour gear they can get, if challenged im not gonna accept.

I do know mr(3) is over doing it, but i thought that if im against an army using ranged to, i might get stuck with some mages as opponent, so a 4+ ward save against spells would be very nice for units that die in huge numbers.

(As im focusing alot on making the Night Goblins insanely better, im not outta loose them as they practicaly is my wall against anything)

Just a question is it possible if i put the BSB on a great cave squid that he could be in the unit still?

That is all.

Surely one BIG unit isn't going to be that good...?

your going to get shot to pieces and they'll run off before you get near to them?

Im not counting on going forward, i got 4 spear chukkas and 2 doom divers, the unit is big and therefore steadfast (changed stubborn with Armour Piercing), and got a general with LD 8 (and can get LD 9), and a BSB that can make sure i reroll any LD test... this unit which is 10x5 is going to protect, and thats why they got four awesome special rules (Netters, Fear, Armour Piercing, Magic Resistance) and lutz of attacks.

maybe make the army larger and have two such units so that the enemy can't focus all their firepower on one?

or some harassing unit to deal with enemy war-machines?

Not sure about the bsb on squig, but there good common magic armors if you don't want a magic banner... Looks interesting, good luck, tell us how it goes

One thought, trade chukkas for rock lobbas. With cover and LOS rules I think they are better at getting the static army to move to you.
