This should probably go in painting and modeling but I want 40k players answering so I put it here. How much of your main/favourite do you have painted.? All of my main army is painted but not so much of my secondary armies are (or need repainting). Please vote in pole.

All my epic and BFG stuff is done by other people, as I got them second hand. Not brilliantly done, but fit for purpose.. My son is threatening to get me some "proper" figs for xmas; dreading it TBH...

Complete armies are painted. The incomplete may be anywhere between 80-100%, counting whats is still in its box.
Already built models tend to need at max 1 week from completing to fully painted.

Is this supposed to be stuff I play with or stuff I own?

My Eldar musicians, for example, are pretty damn far down the list on things to paint.

Having said that, I have the finger dexterity of a baby rhinoceros, which is fully reflected in my paint jobs.

Just recently started out, have 20 Boyz painted and they don't look very good =) I try my best though, and with the help of washes and the like they actually look decent

Kind of a hard question to nail down as the OP isn't specific enough. My army lists I use regul;arly are 100% painted but none of my collections have the entire product line fully painted. So I puy 80%.

Secondly my paint jobs from 10 years ago I don't like to look at but the stuff I've done in the last couple years I'm very happy with.

80% or lower. My Salamanders are about 90% painted, but my Nids are under 50% painted. I just don't have many yet.

My IG army is about 80-90% painted, all infantry done, but I'm still working on the tanks.
I have probably 70-80% of my total miniature collection painted, have some Chaos Daemons I just got I'm still working on and I have some odd figures I do not plan on painting any time soon.

I hate having grey models. Everything 40k except the recently acquired SM bikers sitting on my desk are painted, and thats only because I'm trying to strip the ing heinous red basecoat off one of them.

I started Warhammer just a month or so ago, so I've only mustered a bit more than 1000 points. What with studies, girlfriend, and family getting in the way of my life I have only painted 20 Boyz and half a Warboss. Luckily, my girlfriend thought it looked like fun and decided to help me so she's taking care of my Nobz =)

um, im kinda new to the 401centery. For what i have, 60% is done

I can count them on my fingers; fully painted, I have:
1 Crisis Commander
A single Chaos Space Marine

Partly painted, I have:
Another Chaos Space Marine
A Khorne Berzerker
A small handful of Fire Warriors
The railgun from a hammerhead

My Eldar, Space Marines, and Dark Eldar are all fully painted. I have plans to add to both of my Eldar armies, but they are fully painted as they stand. I have a Witch Hunter army I am working on that is about 75% finished. I have another Witch Hunter army and a Tau army that are both about 15% done. All of the armies that I have painted are very nicely done. The gifted Eldar army was apparently painted by two different people and so about 75% of it is really nice.

Not critisizing or anything, but did you paint the armies yourself? Your last statement threw me off a little.

i started 8 months ago and my imperial fist army is 90% done with me working on the last of my models i am buying for a while. only thing i did not paint is my lysansder model and my lotd squad. I bought them painted.

Maybe I'm being more than a tad juvenille but that made me lol. I just bet she is

All my armies that I actually field are fully painted although my wolves are in the process of being redone and I have some ebay special tyranids that are in dire need of stripping down and converting to my scheme. Most of my gf's eldar army have some paint on them but only her harlies and grav tank are completed.

I think I have MOST of my army painted.

I will make some time for them... Over the holidays.
