The Codex says that lasguns gain an extra shot. My question is can hot-shot lasguns gain the extra shot? It is a type of lasgun and the codex doesnt limit it to guardsman lasguns only so...

The FAQ says the order does not work with hot-shots

lasgun /= hot shot lasgun. Otherwise bolter = stormbolter = heavybolter.

yeah i've had experience with IG players and they've never used it for KAsrkin Hot-shot Lasguns or their Pistols either. Its only ever been his normal infantry that get the bonus from the order.
