Hello my friends!

I want to show you my last work, inspired in skavens' underworld clan fights. Yes, I'm a rat-lover, and I want to do a skaven scene or diorama.

I decided to made another sewer, but not a futuristic one (as you can see in my Ogre of the Sewers: http://lamoradadeconnann.blogspot.com/2009/04/el-ogro-de-la-cloaca-w40k-ogre-of.html). I decided to represent a real sewer, like you can see in medieval towns, with a lot of bricks, dampness and dirt.

For the bricks I used cork, very easy to cut and paint it, and very light, perfect for my idea.

I made a little conversion in my rats, only I converted their weapons (I made a new sword and a large torch).

When I painted the scene I used my poor airbrush, brushes and a lot of techniques (washes, rusts...) to get a sewer. But something was wrong... I needed a poisoned atmosphere... and that's why I painted the torch with green color!

I'm very happy with the final result, because I enjoyed a lot with it. Now I hope you like it!!

my only criticism (petty time) is that the pipe still looks like a drinking straw because of the concertina bendy bit, which pipes don't have.

That being the only nitpick out the way...

Very cool, love to see diorama modeling.

I like it, with only one complaint. The colors look a little bland. Your source lighting effects are nice, just need a little brighter of a highlight. A lot of the colors aren't far enough apart and seem to blend into the same shade.

Im not talking the Cartoony contrasting that so many "professionals" make use of, just a little brighter to make some details stand out a bit more.

Other than that, fantastic job. I love the way the cork turned out.

Yeah they do, the bends in rain gutters sometimes look just like it.

There is a very good reason why they don't have crinlkes in gutter bends

well this is different. Excellent light sourcing , and the seen reminds me of an illustration with all that detail.

you are still wrong despite the unecessarly large piucture and a pointless video clip. Those are overlapping segments to create curvature. The segments are laid so as not to make traps which could lead to blockages.
If you really think that is the same as a bendy drinking straw please don't take up plumbing as a career.

Agree with Neil, it makes the dio very atmospheric, and well photographed too.

Precisely.
Which is unlike a bendy straw. Think of its longitudinal section.

My ONLY and very MINOR criticism was that the straw in the dio still looks like a straw to me.
Having seen your picture of a drainpipe, it still looks like a straw.

your a card chibi, that was a good one and no mistake^^

teaches me to not use straws for pipes...^^

otherwise a very outstanding if somewhat monochrome diorama (the overall brownishness is a bit much) but i like the light source effect you did.
