no point having the multi on broadsides. they dont have two non-twinlinked weapons. to fire. drop the shas'vre to team leader or even shas'ui since it doesent need hardwired stuff. Give it a advanced stablization system.

you will want a fish for both fw squads. they need metal boxes. dont bother with fheshete launchers. there is two basic ways i use fishes.
cheep: multi, disruption pod for 95pts
not: multi, disruption, smarts and targeting array for 120pts
use seeking missiles for when you use alot of markerlights.

I dont like kroot. some people do, but basicly you take a troop choise for every 500pts you play, sept 500-999pts, were you need two anyway.

Stealth suits look cool but can often disapoint because of there lack of strength.

dont take bodyguards. make a seperate elite unit and start the game with the two groups joined as he is an independent charactor.

I dont bother with 3 weapons on the same suit. use fireknifes (plasma and missile with multi) as your first perfrence for suits. this goes for the com too.

good luck

I find kroot useful for outflanking/countercharging but i think im gonna drop em once i have the dosh to replace them.
Battlesuits are good but as the above poster says, drop the fusion blasters
If you want an AT battlesuit make a monat with t/l flamer & fusion blaster and TA. Deepstrike him as a bomb, kills a tank or flame some hordes, all for 65pts(ish)

+1 to Ledabot's advice.

The AfP is anti-infantry and the FB is for tanks. I'd focus his purpose. AfP/MP or Helios or FK. Something else, ayway.

This 3 gun set up is less than optimal. Instead, Target Arrays and one 2 gun configuration makes them more effective, rather than more felxible.

someguy55 wrote:stealth team x2 fusion blaster x2 hard wired drone controler x2 marker drone
And speaking of flexible versus effective; an all BC stealth team gets a good anti-I job done. The 2 FBs limit its effectiveness. I used to run the 2 FB/4 BC set up, but found all BCs earning points. And the MarkerDrone is really unnecessary here.

Dispods! Don'cha want one of the only built in Cover Saves for your tanks?
Either :
Devilfish w/ Dispod
or
Warfish: SMS, MT (so it can move Combat speed and fire 7 dice), Target Array (so they hit) and Dispod

Flechettes are good, *if* you know you're up against orks or something else with lousy armor saves, DE, horde bugs.

Instead of 'vre, go Team Leader, 2 Shield Drones, a BK and A.s.s.

I think we pritty much sumed it up. Shield drones are really good btw. If you want to invest 30pts for the team. put all the wounds you cant save on them and hope that they get that save. can let you squad liver much longer.
Example: Hq has 2 shield drones. merges with 3 elites with two shield drones. this gives you 4 Shield drones that you put all your wounds on and 4 suits pumping out plasma and missiles. ausome!

Just a correction - the SMS is not a twinlinked system, and as such, can benefit from a MT, despite how they are modeled.

That said, you're spot on with there still being no real point.

I personally like the 3 weapon suite (plasma, missile, & Fusion)

You have something at every range for a fairly minimal increase of point cost. You will brutalize MEQs or Termies at short range, and at medium and long range you can plink away at transports.

A squad of team leader (3 weapon Sunfire) with 1 Fire Knife and 1 Helios even gets to abuse wound allocation.

Though to be honest, I haven't played much recently, so maybe things have changed.
