I wouldn't give all of the boyz shootas for the simple reason that they don't hit very often. [Before people start yelling... I know the mathhammer... that means squat]

Orks are close combat. Some of them should be made close combat. You have 80 boy... give 2 units the extra attack... because that is 20 eaxta attacks each.

I personally never run shoota boys outside of a Battlewaggon or Trukk, as that extra speed before they fire is quite nice in compairison to footsloggers that might stoop once before they get knocked down by bolters.

Your Big Mek doesn't really need a bosspole, and those points would give one squad another Big Shoota which might be useful.

You'll have trouble with tanks, but at this point level that isn't such a huge deal.

Looks like a good list! Keep the Shootas on all your boyz!

The reason I said to take off the shootas was because at 18" range, your opponent is probably smart enough to stay away from CC with orks, and therefore is staying back. You wont be able to shoot first turn because there are absolutly no transports to get you across and therefore no reliable way to get into shooting range. When you are in shooting distance, their is a good chance you will want to call a waaagh!, unless 1 or 2 boys are in shooting range... in wich case you still do nothing.

The extra attacks will almost always hit on 3's and 4's (unless your opponent has WS9 units standard) where your shoots will always hit on 5's from a distance, and do nothing with AP6.

If you had some Trukks in this list, that is a different tackic entirely, being able to advance 12" on turn 1 without any issues.

On another note, I agree with previous poster that the bosspoll is just eating points, all of your nobz already have bosspolls. I personally would make 1 big shoots a Rokkit... but only because that way you have a way to pop light vehciles like rhinos and other transports. they may not hit as often as you like... but it is better than loosing to Rhinos (35 points for av11... wich only 5 models can touch on the charge... nobz and the Mek... and the Rhinos are scoring if they have troops inside)

I'm going to be playing a 1k list on Sunday again SM and they maybe packing a Rhino and a Predator does a Rokkit Launcha do well against these? My options are slim, only anti tank I have are PKs and some koptas from AOBR.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Koptas are great anti-tank! Equip them with TL Rokkits and Buzzsaws, Turbo-Boost them during your Scout movement, and then blast and assault away. Your S7 Buzzsaw attacks will autohit and be resolved against rear armor.
