how far apart ar the armor plates spaced, on the front "wings" forward of the pilot? Any one know or got a ruler and a grav tank handy to fin out? Looking for a precise number. I am thinking about 1/32" (.79 mm), but don't exactly have one handy.

The closest to accurate scale WH40K gets is somewhere abo0ut the 1/56, or 1/60 scale. Just not sure how actually far apart anything is supposed to be, the vehicles are actually just representative as once you look at the things, there is no way they could actually be the right size for their supposed capacity. Also, the 40k guns are way over sized and make real scale 1/35 weapons look,,,,smallish. Scale is normally about 28-30mm scale for the troops.

Actually, I was just looking for a direct measurement. That doesnt't have a lot to do with scale, since most people who actually build in armour plate don't leave gaps at all.
So, anyone with a ruler care to make a measurement?

oh, just keep the gaps at 1-2mm and they will show.

It's less than 1mm but thicker than 0.5mm.
My ruler only goes down to half-mil and I don't currently have any drillbits between 0.5 and 1mm.
