Let me say WOW! What I have missed! I didn't even know these came out at all. For those of you who don't know, there was once when GW allowed the creation of Graphic Novels/Comics to be created by BL & BOOM! Studios. I have to say that some of the older books are a bit cheesy, i.e. BloodQuest. But overall I find them very enjoyable and they give my mind a bit of a rest from the engaging novels of BL (a.k.a. I don't have to imagine the scenery, its drawn for me :p). Anyway, these are definitely some good reads, I got the idea for my BA army from BloodQuest (the Exiled). I highly suggest you check Ebay.com or Amazon.com for some of them. Also for those who are "cheap" or "financially strapped" a few looks around bit torrent websites will definitely get you some of the 40k comics/graphic novels.
I was just wondering other members' takes on these. I am sorry I only recently found out about them. So far my favorites are Damnation Crusade and Fire & Honour.

I read the one with the Black Templar on the cover - I think it was Damnation Crusade. It had a Black Templars story, a Tau story, and a story about an Imperial officer who gets captured by an Ork Warboss. All in all, I found the art to be amazing, but the stories didn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense.

I think you may be thinking of Fire & Honor. I don't remember Tau in Damnation Crusade. Anyway though, the artwork is great! Definitely a must for any 40k fluff fan!

I have all of damnation crusade signed by the writer Ian (not Dan). He used to shop at the comic store I worked at every week and sign my comic and draw a smiley face on them!

i have wanted to at least read some of the comics.
there is a one time book coming with the Limited Edition of "Ultramarines the Movie" so that will be cool.

Yeah that was the only reason I was tempted to order the movie. Then I saw the $50 price tag for 70 minutes + a comic, not enough.
