Been looking at my options for the Apoc game, in addition to my base list this is what i've got to pick from so far;

Hi all, here is the altered list. Includes points breakdown. Not the big game yet as it depends on what pointage I am told to field.

Had a great game with Sar Mikael and his Emperors Children this morning. Play tested some of the potentially available Imperial Merc's during the game (The Eversor Assassin is particularly tasty... the Hellbrute certainly though so too. mmm, bbq eversor)

Whether they'll be available is still in the air as the points required to hire them were based on larger task forces than what we'll probably end up with!

If you haven't already, let me know what forces your bringing so I can fold the sotry around your particular race.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, mmm something to do with buying someting NOW... rickets? pickets? crickets? ah wait no... TICKETS!

If you make up a 4k list as well then we can't go wrong dude. So far it definitely looks like the majority of players will be playing larger than 4k games but if we all have set 4k lists just in case then both eventualities are covered.

Things are looking up this week chaps... got a few more players on board and I'm feeling positive. I hope my good mood survives contact with the Newcastle vs Swansea game on Saturday!

There has been progress made on a number of little projects required to help represent the narratives on the gaming board too. I hope I get everything done in time...

After looking at all those Eldar i'm glad my Dakka Jets have been delivered i think i'm going to need the fire power. All I need to do is get them assembled and painted in time.

I've considered that in the past... football is the most frustrating and painful thing in my life so those considerations are quickly banished, why would I want to ruin my gaming by incorporating it is usually the conclusion I come too. Did name my Imperial Guard the Novacastrian IXth Regiment though. Didn't go black and white, which is probably a good thing!

NEWS - The recruitment drive continues, spread the word dudes as the more people we manage to get to the event the better it will be. Its much easier said than done, I am walking the boulevard of broken promises on a regular basis. I never imagined this would be so stressful...

I am going with advice from Geordie and doing red flames, I will also do red eye sockets on all skulls and of ourselves red fists!

ahem, Bone looks nice

I figured I wanted them to look old rather than spooky like GW ones. The open bones on shoulder pads will have some red, sore and raw pink hues in there too. Should add to the effect.

I read the Legion of the Damned Space Marine Battle book and i've made a few up but not painted at all yet. Have bee trying to source a cheap SgtCenturius for over two years now... its not happening!

I made a version for my pre-heresy World Eaters though so I may do the same again and push them forward. Whether to do them old or spooky has been the main issue that they aren't painted. I thought spookier to begin with, like the ghosts from LotR's but felt it was a bit basic and not very Mariney...

Its late and i'm sitting watching my ebay bids come to a close. Somewhere across the atlantic a dude is watching people bid on his bits (quite a few I might add). Its been a long drawn out process deciding what will suit my scratch built caestus assault ram... By the time these auctions end and the postage is paid, if I am successful, i will probably have spent near as damn it, the bloody forgeworld price! Should i have just gone straight to FW?

No Ryan, its all sweet as far as I'm concerned. The venue made a break away from the Maelstrom Company and is a firm in its own right now.

Obviously there is going to be a bit of a reputation hangover but it only effects us because some potential players still think its Maelstrom and won't give it a chance.

So far, all is well...
