Thanks! Trying to give each one a unique character has been the most fun with this project.

They're all orc heads (I'm not a good or patient enough sculptor to pull off heads from scratch) from 40k orks, black orcs/'ardboys and spellcrow keffiyah orcs for the hooded ones (they're especially muppety.)
When I first started, I was also looking at those puppetwar heads and also manic pig heads, but decided against them to give myself a bit of practice with greenstuff.

Three more quarantine Hogors done, including my Glutton and Leadbelcher champions. Only three more gluttons left in this seemingly endless block of pork!

Brilliant wall of pork, Gibs Lots to love in that squad, between the little details, bright patterns and piggy wall of brutality.

I may have just squealed when i saw an update. I am not disappointed in seeing more piggys joining the (had to look up the term for group of pigs.....which depends on their age, so) drove/litter/sounder or passel of hogs. More useless trivia from the mind of Theo.

She took a while, but I finished my Hogor Warqueen (counting as Frostlord on Stonehorn)!
I've always really loved the character in the Great Unclean One kit, but I never really had a reason to get one as I don't play anything Nurgle related. Conversely, I've never really gelled with the "Ogres on Mammoths" aesthetic of the Beastrider kits, so the problem here solved itself!
Lot of greenstuff work sculpting the nose/ears/lips, giving her a proper regal bosom, and doing massive ammounts of skin repair. The crown was 3D printed, as was the contents of her wine-goblet.

A loving marriage.

She's IMMENSE! What a build and what a beast. Brilliant centerpiece to the hogs. I'm not 100% on the Jurassic Park-style waves in her cup - I probably would have gone for more of a slosh or froth than the concentric circles - but that's an awfully small niggle

Army shot is a grand thing, congrats on the herd!

That’s immense McGibs! She’s truly a sight to behold. The whole pack of hogs is looking magnificent and totally unique! Are you stopping there or will the hog roast continue?

Thanks guys!

I'm not 100% on the Jurassic Park-style waves in her cup

Yeah, my partner pointed out the exact same thing :p
It's a 3d printed part from a cauldron I had lying around that fit the cup, but I agree... looking at it finished it does look a bit odd and "static", rather than sloshing around wine.

Are you stopping there or will the hog roast continue?

I've got the main block of infantry and heroes done, but I've still got a bunch more on my workbench! Next up is probobly some mournfang riders, gnoblars, and my mawpot.

Some additional in-progress photos:

Pre any additions, just figuring out the accessories.

Greenstuffed (and greyscaled so you cant see :p) There was a LOT of filling in open wounds and sores. The GUO is really gross you guys...

And primed. The bra straps I did with synthetic twine and was probobly the hardest part of the conversion, involving a mix of knot tying and superglue.

and someone on another forum asked about my skin-painting process, so I threw this together.

I've had this army in the works for about two years now, but I'm finally starting to get highlighted models done! I wanted to do an army that was clean and practical, making use of a lot of decal transfers and edge highlighting, which was something I've never really tackled before.
The helmets are from https://bombshellminis.com/36018-helmet-set-r8/ and consist of a clear plastic dome and pewter collar (I didn't want to paint faces, so I sprayed them with gloss black). Conversion was pretty easy, just removing part of the marine's collar. On some of the pushfit models with pre-attached shoulderpads, I had to trim the piping on the pewter collar down to fit, but its not very noticeable on the final thing.

Lore wise, I liked the idea of having an Ad Mech controlled Marine force where they function essentially as Marine Skittarii. They were orginially escorts for an Explorator Fleet, but have since been hijacked, mindwiped, and cloned by the Fleet Magos. The modified helmets are (on paper) to provide extra protection in hazardous environments, but really because the marine's heads have been horribly augmented with cybernetic shackles that they simply don't fit in Mk X helmets anymore.
Rules wise, I run them as Deathwatch to reflect their fleet's wealth of technology gizmos and total lack of regard for codex organization.

Intercessor Squad

Hellblaster

Aggressor:
I'm not a fan of the big bullet mittens, so I replaced his arms with Tartaros Terminator arms.

And bonus tagalong, my Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, who's sanctioning the whole Explorator Fleet.
The model is a Necromunda Van Saar with a Palanite Enforcer revolver.

He's very smol next to his bodyguards.

Another great idea which you have beautifully brought to plastic life. Love the ultra glossy black helmets on the models. Nice back story as well.

Them’s some highly polished helmets! Neat idea and unsurprisingly well executed McGibs. I like the use of the Tartaros arms, they fit really well

Wow, those Space Marines really look scary, nice and simple conversion. And great idea with the Aggressor conversion, I still have three on sprue and some terminator bits left over, may steal your idea.

I like everything from this blog, but the pigs are my absolute favorites! Very creative, very unique and very inspiring.
Looking forward to see new additions!

Finished another Fortis Killteam. Not much different about them, except the sergeant has a stun-baton because power-swords aren't tecnho enough.

Also finished one of six Cyberbikes! I don't want any squatmarines in this army, so I'm having to come up with convincing alternatives.

The bluegreen is Vellejo Air 71.008 "Blue" highlighted with a mix of Screaming Skull. The darker green on his shoulders and gun (and the armour for the regular marines) is Incubi Darkness highlighted with Thunderhawk Blue and Blue Horror

I've got some Phobos marines (probobly make them Incursors) waiting for some paint. I might try a black scheme for sneaky boys.
