Right, to start of some quick info on me:
Age~13.
Art ability~Good on models, on paper.
Devotion to looking after things~Pretty good.
Painting amount~'Bout every other day.
Common sense and maturity~High compared to other people of my age.
Max amount of money for Christmas present~£90 {blooming recession!}
Want to get an airbrush~Undicided.
Righty, that over, i'll carry on.
Is it worth getting an : Airbrush(single act), airbrush(double act), and an air compressor with all 'the trimmings' (everything i need)
I can't decide; will i use it enough, will i get really frustated, will i be at it?
Wyadda' you think?
I know its difficult to say yay or nay for me. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AIRBRUSH-KIT-AIRBRUSH-COMPRESSOR-AIR-BRUSH-COMPRESSOR-/350356284520?pt=UK_Health_Tanning_RL&hash=item5192dca468#ht_4952wt_1139
Cheers all,

For me, an airbrush is an amazing add if you paint a lot of tanks/scenery. If all you do is infantry, not so much.
Frankly though, at 13, I would spend it on something else, unless you also want to explore using it in art for the next few years. There's a lot of stuff to want when you're 13, and just as much you can't normally afford An airbrush is a specialty tool, and you should only look into getting those when you have most of what you want that may have a wider range of applications.

No, an airbrush is not worth it for 40k miniatures.
They aren't really of the scale that utilizes what airbrushes are actually good at. I've had an airbrush for almost 20 years, which is less time than I've been playing 40k; I've never used it on a mini.
You won't use it enough to justify it's cost (at least not on 40k stuff). If you're active in other arts, that's up to you.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Thankyou all, all your opinions are very valued.
I've decided to call the airbrush off.

An airbrush is really only worth it if you're going to be painting a lot of tanks or something. Even so, you can probably get a can of appropriately colored primer from Halford's or what have you. Get something you'll have more fun with.
