Koldun Kapitan Valachev brings the iron strength of the Motherland to mercenary units fortunate enough to serve under his command. Skilled in the dark sorcery of the Greylords, he can chill enemies with icy blasts, propel his unit upfield on freezing winds, or remove debilitating magic afflicting his men. Those serving under him are truly part of Khadoran military machine.

Not entirely sure I like the model yet, but the prospect of casting Battle Lust on Croe's Cutthroats is rather tempting...

What's more interesting than the model is the description that hints at more
mercenary/faction interactions, kind of like the Paingiver Taskmaster.

Agreed. Can't wait for the Cryx one. I'm guessing that all five factions will receive one of these Mercenary UA guys.

So far the scue numbers only list one for the factions Other than Cryx, so we might not get one.

P.S. This guy looks too Asian to me and not Russian enough for Khador. Very Fu Man Chu.

An excellent pose for a foppish Rogue Trader.

It's delightful to see how progressive Privateer Press is, but I admit I'm rather surprised they chose Khador rather than Cygnar for wargaming's first trans character.

Ruins the Khadoran theme of manliness with the pose, and I really dislike the pose and the beard, let me tell you, but the mercenary connections interest me, if only a little.

Geaorge, you need to update that list to indicate that the Attendant Priest and Captain Jonas Murdoch are UAs, in the same way this dude is, going by the information lifted from Alliance.

It's a character Unit Attachment, that appears to attach to a Mercenary unit.

Quite what restrictions there are on this (character vs. non-character units, for instance), and what benefits it gives (does it make them Faction models?) are currently unknown.

The Attendant Priest is already listed as UA, Captain Jonas Murdoch will be just as soon as I get official confirmation that he is. Do you have a link to something official or spoiled? Have you seen something more than the the PIP code and the name from alliance, if so please share. The '?' in my entry indicates that I've seen nothing official.

Not sure what you'll take as official, Georce, but as relasine pointed out on the February releases thread on PP, Murdoch is listed as "PIP 31079 Warmachine: Cygnar Captain Jonas Murdoch Mercenary Unit $12.99" over on Alliance Games' web-based catalog - take a look at page 2 of these results to see what I mean, assuming that link works.

If it doesn't, go to www.alliance-games.com, choose Guests, then Search the Catlog, filtering to Privateer Press.

The attendant Priest & Kapitan Jaffar are both listed in about the same way, depending on the length of the model's name (Priest is towards the bottom of page 2, Jaffar on page 3).
