If I did my math right, that should be 2000 points exactly. I tried to build as balanced an army as I could, starting with the core AT before HQ considerations. If it works the way I hope it will, Im just gonna try to run my gaunts up around my tervigon giving a bit of cover to my HG as they follow until they find more permanent spots. The HT is gonna hit up the side and put pressure on. Ill drop my Zoans in a round or 2 to give them a bit of survivability from all the attention theyd get being in the face of the enemy. Really, and I havent played it yet, my idea is that Im working with an initial mobility that swells to full pandemonium, having AT, CC, and support fire on infantry all running at once. The image that I have of tyranids in the first place.
But, I don't know if I'm neglecting something, or if I may simply be trying to do too much at once.

I would drop the gun on the hive tyrant or drop the heavy venom cannon. Drop the hormoguants for either more warriors cause they can help with synapse or bring a second squad of termogaunts so you can bring a second tervigon since your tervigon will most likely get its ability to make more guants once and then no more if you roll any doubles on the three dice

Huge Hierodule
The centre of a massive brood chamber, heaving and pulsating.

Can you give Tyrant Guard Lash Whips AND Boneswords? I thought you had to take 1 or the other.
4 Hive Guard is excessive. I'd get some Venomthropes to give some cover.
The Trgon Prime doesn't fit into this list. Either replace it with a Tyrannofex, or get a Carnifex with Adrenal Glands and Bio-Plasma....And some other stuff.

You can give lash whips and boneswords to tyrant guards but it has to be one or the other and the entire brood must have the same either lash whip or bonesword. I agree on getting one venomthrop but the 4 hive guard are not so far in a lists that i ahve seen they have between 4-6 hive guard. Take a carnifex over tyrannofex and a trygon

Ah, yes, the tyrant guard. I got so used to everything having them as a paired option I didnt see that they had to choose. Ill probably drop the gun on my HT, cause it still feels like I need a template weapon.
Why does the Trygon not fit?

The trygon does fit if you are playing at 2000pts you still have 10pts left over and i personally would have the tyrant guards keep the scything talons and rending claws and use the extra 10 or 30 pts ontop of the 10pts you still have left and give your genestealer brood a broodlord

Unless you've added an extra biomorph/weapon swap that should be 50pts

I don't think I've ever seen a Nid list where anyone argued that you had too many hive guard before! The words "excessive" and "hive guard" are only generally joined by those playing against Nids ...

Eh, Hive Guard are okay, but people who think they're the only things that can fill your elite slots aren't usually looking at the whole army.
They're good, but they're far from a no-brainer unit.
I would drop the Biovore and try to squeeze in a third zoanthrope, and probably take them out of the pod; I like the biovore but you really want more of them in a unit so you can get the multiple barrages thing goin' on.
