Is there are DIY around for single LED small models? I keep looking at the few LED DIY's that are out there and they are complex and don't even list a combo of resistors/battery/LED that works. I just need one LED to light. Can someone help me out please?

Try here:

There is a calculator on the site that will tell you what resistor you will need for a given voltage supply, but you will need the tech specifications of the LED, Forward voltage and current so it can help you find that R value.

That helps thanks. But there isn't just a straight forward "Buy these components" floating around?

Haha. it'd be great to have a predator with working lights and flashes when the gun fires.

Not to my knowledge.

To get the best results you have to do some work.

It helps you to know WHY something works the way it does - and besides, you can then think up ways around the issue when it - despite the numbers - refuses to work.

although this site might help:

I just get things like these toys.

They're just rings. They are as long as most infantry are tall, but most of this is the casing.

I haven't put them into anything yet, but as a practice I managed to use one to turn a pen into a torch.

Ex nihilo

Yep. Cheapest way to get a working circuit for a LED is in small light toys in the grocery store lobby. Or in lighters.
