Old thread died so I'm starting a new one. Post anything amazing you have accomplished in battle.

For me it was my mobs lone rokkit hitting, penetrating, and exploding a LR, with a trio of 6's.

edit: Totally forgot about my sluggas killing 1 of his termies.

In 500 point game all my tyranids died without killing a single model. Luckily no one touched my carnifex and I went thrpugh more than half the enemy's army before he stopped it. Never underestimate the carnifex!

I was playing a 1,000 game where the opponent had 2 LRCs. Playing Foot orks, that was an issue. By the time I made it over, my 30 man Boy squad was wiped, half my nobs were gone, and my looted wagon was torn to bitz. So I took Ghazzy, punched through a Land Raider, Punched Through the other LR, and Insta-killed the captain. In one turn. Mind you, this was 4th ed, but still. He now has a Dreadnought arm where his power Klaw should be, and is still punching through LRs.

Tank Shocked Abby with a Razorback. He went for the Death or Glory and got a 2 for his pen roll. Further proof that no matter what gods love you and how much, you can always just get run over and die.

Playing a 600 pt game, and my last remaining Kroot from a squad of 20 assaulted the 2 remaining members of a SM tac squad. Killed them both, then proceeded to put 2 wounds on a SM captain before he finally killed that epic kroot.

A gun drone immobilized a rhino by hitting it's front armor, then a plasma rifle on a battlesuit exploded it, killing 6 out of the ten man squad.

Epic Fail moment: Playing a small game with my friend's identical army of marines (we were playing with only a tac squad and a dreadnought at the time). I lost every single one of my space marines, even when I assaulted. The only thing I killed was his dreadnought, when my dreadnought came in and beat the crap out of it in close combat.

Played in a GT with marines vs Guard, my termies all died to a LR Plasma save 1 th/ss after using GoI to get close to his front lines. who proceeded to take out his LR, squadron of Medusas, Creed & Kell, and one chimera.

My mini's must suck, cause all they do is sit around until I make pew pew laser noises with em. Lazy marines.

**Anidem**

My Eldar Army vs a pure Slanesh-themed Army. I have a 'fluffy' squad of DA with Sword & Sield Exarch led by Asurmen the Asuryan. This squad claimed 4 full squads of demonettes over the course of the game.

The Same army, Vs a Deathwing Termanator Army, I lose pretty much everything but Asurmen, some pathfinders, and two immobilized WS with TL-BL by turn 2. Asurmen then kills a full squad of SS/TH termies then gets assaulted by a dready, only to survive till turn 6 in close combat. even when the first dread is joined by a second in turn 5.

Even when its tactically inviable, i always try to have Asurmen in any size game in my eldar list.

My reclusarch and his Honor Guard have killed Logan Grimnar and a unit of thunderhammer/storm shield terminators. In close combat. Everyone died the same turn, and won me the last game of a tournament.

I had a small 750 pt game with my Space Marines. First game I ever played, actually. I had a ful Tac Marine squad then split it into combat squads. One had a missle launcer and a Sgt. This one missle launcher pounded the other player mercilessly, killing a squad and a dedicated transport. My squad took a punding and eventually all the other members died, but the one missle launcher guy did not break at all and continues to harry the other player's forces for the rest of the game. It was good stuff.

Had an IG company commander down to two wounds and no squadmates walk through three different squads of fire warriors and a crisis suit in 4 rounds of Close Combat. Gogogadget mediocre Ld enemies and sweeping advance!

Another time I had a gunless empty Chimera tank shock an Avatar, Avatar rolls a 3 for armor pen, resulting in only 9 total, thus...Avatar ground beneath Chimeras treads!

My WH army (back in 4th) won a game against CSM.

I lost one IST model.

My Inq lord killed two deamon princes in consecutive turns.

My captain sicarius drop podded onto the opposite side of the board with a ten man tac squad against tau. tac marines all died in the first turn of combat, but sicarius killed commander shadowsun and two whole fire warrior squads before making the remaining two fail their Ld check and run off the board. This was over 4 turns btw with no reinforcements.

My most awesome bit still remains an old 2nd ed game where a single Eldar Guardian armed with only a laspistol managed to kill an assault terminator. In CC. (and mind you, 2nd ed terminator saves were 3+ on 2d6)...

That model was never fielded again, as he was immediately promoted to an Exarch.

Emperor's Champion going berzerk after his accompanying crusader squad got face-mauled by Blood Angels. Killed off 5 devastators, 8 assault marines, 3 scouts and a land speeder before the game ended. This was when Blood Angels had their 4th ed "Codex" but in 5th.

It was the only time I won with my Chaos Marines of Fail. My Nurgle Termie Lord and his retinue of average CSM's charged the opponents Nurgle(Or was it Khornate being proxied as a Nurglite?) DP. Some of the CSM's died but my Chaos Lord with his claws tore the beast asunder with his lightning claws the following turn. That was the only sign of pride I've ever shown in my Chaos Marine force.

My Wolf Lord fighting 1-on-1 against a Nugle Terminator Lord.
Tore him to pieces in 1 rund without taking a single wound.

That's your problem right there; if you make lasgun sounds, they'll be as effective as lasguns!

Hector rex against a huuuuuge host of demons with no backup. going on to slaughter 3/4 of a squad of horrors, a Khorne lord and a undivided chaos lord.

He lasted the whole battle, and contested that objective.

Oh and my baneblade in the same battle, destroyed 3 dreadnoughts, a whole mob of boyz and didn't even get a structure point off when hit by a grot bomb.

My commissar affectionately named commissar plotarmor went through an entire apocalypse game killing 3 different SM chapter masters and their honour guard with a squad of vets taking only 2 casualties.PRAISE THE DICE GODS!!!

Epic Fail Moment

My missile launchers against my enemy's Fire Prisms/Wave Serpents. not only did they miss nearly every shot (even when twin linked!) the few times they actually hit? I rolled a 3 for armor pen each time. It was later realized that I had rolled the same die for armor pen for almost every roll.....that dice was summarily executed via a nearby third story window. We're still trying to find it to see what it rolled.

Bloodthirster jumping into an objective to contest with 1 wound left on turn 7 for the game win...roll a 1 and break my legs....Embodiment of the Blood God....right...haha

Awesome thing: once had a Lictor so well painted that I managed to keep it on a gaming table an entire tournament weekend without anyone noticing it amongst the terrain it was in. (i'd show pics but it managed to become stolen of course)

Epic Fail moment: a friend and i pounded out 4 straight games of 40k in one sitting/day. during the first game my buddy deployed a unit of Necron Destroyers waaaay too close to a board edge. I had x5 outflanking units to munch him...they all rolled to come out the other edge! what was worse was that over the coarse of the remaining 3 games (and using the same list) not one of those outflanking units EVER came in from any edge but the right sided edge. Not sure what the odds of that happening are, but that's 0/20 chances failing to roll 4/6 favorable resaults.

Hammerhead managed to blow a Land Raider on the first turn, and the resulting explosion engulfed the devastator squad, which was the last remaining of my opponent's heavy weapons and I had 3 tanks and the game was annhilation. he was not happy.

Down to one tac marine with a lascannon against 26% of a necron force. Nightbringer was 7" away so couldn't assault. His last chance was to snipe a heavy destroyer and hope it didn't make it's WBB.
He did and it didn't.

His lascannon is trimmed gold now.
