I am putting together an IG army I wanted to play at tournaments, potentially including official GW tournaments. I plan to feature a few Hydra Flak Tanks and I was planning on converting them using a Chimera, the Aegis Defense Line gun, plasticards and green stuff. Is this considered legal considering that Forge World has a Hydra Flak Tank for sale?

The standing rule is that a model has to be 50% GW products I think. I'm not a tourney player, but thats my input.

Your hydras would be perfectly legitimate

That said, as your proposal involves 85% GW parts, it is extremely unlikely that it would be refused.
