It depends on the codex. If you're looking at the codex and it doesn't specify a different BS for weapons fired by the PotMS then you use the BS of the vehicle.

it used to be 2 i think that was in the DA codex, now it doesnt have one and just lets you fire one more weapon than normally allowed to so iy goes on the vehicles BS. assuming you are using codex space marines ofcourse.

Black Templar have BS2 machine spirits as well.

It used to be BS 2, but that was in the old codex.

Now it is the BS of the land raider. Remeber if you take Chronus, it uses his BS instead.

It is still BS 2 for Witch Hunters, Demon Hunters Inquisition (Not Grey Knights), and Black Templar. All others have been "upgraded" to the BS of the LR, BS 4.

Actually, DH don't have a BS2 specified anymore.
DH FAQ added the same POTMS rule as C:SM, without a specified lower BS.
(Also added the "assault vehicle" rule).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

I kinda liked the old one better since it let you move in a straight line instead of shooting. Would help my redeemer a lot.

I stand corrected. Now why can't my WH =I= get that too?

Witch Hunters are a religious group that weeds out heretics. Not a group that goes to open warfare like the Space Marines or Daemon Hunters.

It's irrelevant I know, but the old PotMS never did this. It allowed you to move up to maximum speed straight ahead if it had suffered a Crew Stunned damage result, nothing about allowing it to move instead of shooting.

My Inquisitor Lord, his retinue, his Priests, his IST's, and his Penitent Engines would respectfully disagree.

To be a little more exact, the DH FAQ added in those rules for Grey Knight Land Raiders. The Inquisitor's ride was not similarly updated. While at the time most people thought that was just an oversight, but in light of the fact that WH Land Raiders were also not updated, it possibly suggests that GW were trying to impose some sort of difference between Grey Knight (or Space Marine generally) Land Raiders and Inquisition Land Raiders.
