2 questions:
firstly, where are the special characters going? With the trueborn? Seems like a waste to put the trueborn in harm's way any more than you have to. Speaking of which...
Why shardcarbines? If you take a pair of splinter cannons, you're down 1 shot while moving and 5 points, but you have DOUBLE the range! Do you really want such a fragile unit (and the easiest 2 KP ever) getting less than 18" away from their targets? Besides, if you can sit back 36" and not move (fairly easy with that kind of range), you're throwing down 3 shots MORE than the carbines, for a total of 24. Besides, if you're 30+ inches away, is anyone going to waste long-range anti-tank on them while your raiders and ravagers still live? My bet is no. Will they be able to scrounge up a few plasma or melta shots? Far more likely.
