So, here is what i have run recently to some success, and, some failure. going against other IG or SM was competitive. however, Nids give me fits. So, with out further delay:

HQ: Sniper rifle x2, Missle Launcher, Cammo cloaks. (very static, usualy sits in cover)

PCS: Flamer x3, Medic, Commisar w/ power fist

SQD1/SQD 2: Melta gun, Grenade launcher, joined by commissar
SQD 3: Plasma pistol, Grenade launcher, Commissar with plasma pistol
HVY WPN 1: autocannon x3
HVY WPN 2: missle launcher x2, lascannon

VET 1: plasma gun x3, plasma pistol, carapace armour
Chimera w/ multi laser, heavy bolter, heavy stubber
VET 2: melta gun x3
Chimera w/ heavy flamer, hull flamer


Commissar Yarrick
Ogryn Sqaud (bone 'ead w/ two Ogryn)
Chimera qith multi laser, hull flamer, heavy stubber

Storm trooper 1: 1 SGT, 8 Troopers, 1 w/ flamer
Storm trooper 2: 1 SGT, 8 Troopers, 1 w/ flamer

Scout Sentinel Squad: 3 sentinels w/ auto cannons

LRBT w/ lascannon x2 (squadron)
LR exterminator: lascannon, heavy bolter sponsons
LR Demolisher: multi-melta Sponsons, Dozer blade

ther it is, 2498 points.

Start on the board: HQ
big platoon
Exterminator
Demolisher
Yarrick/Ogryns/Chimera

Reserves: Stormtrooper 1 (deep strike)
Stormtrooper 2 (deep strike)
Scout Sentinels x3 (outflank)
Vet 1 in Chimera
Vet 2 in Chimera
LRBT

Drop sniper rifles they are useless. get them some plasma or GL (maybe)

Medic is just a waist of points so drop it, and the commissar too. I assume your PCS wil stay on your side. so i would change those flamers in more long ranged firepowers. So GL and an autocannon

I assume that you want a platoon to sit on your objective.
so go with 2-3 PIS and give them a autocannon and some GL, joined by a commissar.

plus never use different weapons in a HW-team. always choose the same.

drop heavy stubber, and maybe the carpace (imo I don't think they worth there points).
Always give your chimera's a HHF it is a free upgrade and you will be happy if you run in to hordes..

drop the heavy stubber. also drop commisar yarrick and get a normal lord commisar.

these are DS suicide units. so keep them cheap. only use 5 troopers in each squad.
And give them 2x melta or 2x plasma. and then just deepstrike next to wathever you want destroyed.

first drop all lascannons, sponson and dozerblade.
second never squadron tanks, because it makes your 150+ points investment much easier to destroy.
third the exterminator is pure rubbisch.

always start with every thing on the board. except your outflankers and deepstrikers. this will saturate your enemy with potentional threats. so hopefully he will shoot at random. and then you just ram everything in his throat.

use left over points to get vets with melta and a chimera. because your low on melta.
