Wonder if anyone else has had an issue like this.

Was having a problem with my old pot of DS abit ago. It would either seem to dry too fast on the model or the brush so i wasn't gettin a clean surface. Using it primarily as a pre-white primer on shoulder pad trim and knee pads for Marines, so not large areas at all but still causing enough problems that it causes the white to look un-clean because of the drying issues of the Deneb.

Since the old pot was almost empty i just tossed it and grabbed a bought a new one and still having the same issue. Thought it might be a brush issue but this is the only paint i have this problem with.

Is this easily solvable by just adding some water to the pot?

i think its the color. I use Dheneb Stone purely for purity seals and other banner type items.

For a "pre-white" color, i use Astronomicon Grey, it goes on much smoother, and it takes fewer coats of white to get the color i want. (i play iron snakes, so white is a pretty important color)

It is a quick drying foundation colour. If I want a smoother coat then I dilute mines down with a 1 to 1 ratio of water.

Use a wet brush, or thin the paint on a palette. Honestly, foundation paints shouldn't be used unthinned since they're very, very thick. Dheneb Stone is the primary color for my IG fatigues, so I've got experience with the color.

Aye until now most of my Deneb was either used for basing or banners/seals/parchments etc. Might switch to a light grey and see if thats better.

Barring that i will try the waterin down, thanx fer the help all.
