whats the deal with the ultramarines movie release date ? i pre ordered the collectors edition . is it going to arive on my door step tomorrow the 29 th . because i planned a 40 movie party monday night . i wonder , because i havent received any emails or notices . hhhmmmmm i wonder......................

Not sure any one knows anything, but I'm guessing the movie will only ship tomorrow. Which sadly means it will be another week before those if us here in the east cost states get it and two weeks before those on the west cost get theirs.

I paid for the recorded shipping and haven't gotten anything as far as shipping confirmation or a tracking number. Remember this isn't Games Workshop distributing this so we all may have made a very bad assumption that its release would be done like a new GW release.

What the...? I got that same email too and I'm in the UK?

So that 3rd party company managed to drop the ball on the worldwide distribution of U:tm?

Okay, I figured that if it was shipped on the Monday, I would get it Wed/Fri depending if it was delivered by a private courier/postal service.

So if its a production issue, either one plant has messed up and they waiting so everyone gets it at the same time...

Or, they just realised that they've missed something from the collectors pack and are now desperately correcting their balls-up!

Hmmm...quick info search methinks!

I find it odd that the product wasn't even ready to be shipped by said date... which means something is wrong with the item itself or the packaging... I have been through many releases (I used to own a game store) and most products are shipped well before their release dates, which makes me think somethings up...

Our flgs owner went ranting over the phone for hours to the poor guy on the other end. He's the biggest Ultramarine lover i've ever seen, they wouldnt even give him an expected date ...

Well, I guess if we are lucky we will get out copies by christmas, eh?

I'm so glad I decided to wait. that kind of thing would make me go insane!!

they sent my friend another copy of the exact same email with a diferent heading, from it won't be shipped to it was'nt shipped ... Really ... how do you fail so bad ...

Maybe the Chaos gods are mad that the a**es of their loyal servants get handed to them in the movie so they caused a great cataclysm to stop the final production?

Personally I don't see the release date being put back a few days that much of a problem. But then I buy RPGs and release dates to RPGs usually mean 'whenever.' Warhammer FRP Realms of Sorcery took over 10 years!

Was there any word on whether we're going to get a standard release, not just the $40 Collector's edition? I mean, I like 40k, but I don't care about it enough to spend 40 bucks for a movie and extra stuff...

Must say i was pleasently surprised and that the story was impossable to quess and wasn't predictable at all. Abnett gets full marks.

I am slightly surprised by the R rating. Of course that might be my Overexposed/desensitized to violence American brain, but i would say that this barely qualified for that R. naturally in Europe it would get a 17+ label(bunch of panzies )

it's probably the only R rated movie that doesn't have any language, sex, or nudity.

So they're pansies about rating their movies, but certain areas with certain public beaches on the other hand...
