Gave a quick search think this is original. Basically your fave games of 2010, i will widen the parameters to any titles you have started playing this year regardless of release date. As is polite for an OP i will start things off:
Game of the year: Battlefield Bad Company 2, Meh singleplayer, Transcendant multiplayer a nice alternative to MW2.
Gaming moment of the year: Red Dead Redemption, when you arrive in Nuevo Paraiso and that song starts playing, such an ace moment.
Dumbest moment of the Year: Halo Reach, out of the 4 surviving UNSC troops (including the two spartans) aboard the covenant corvette Jorge decides to sacrifice himself, What about the two expendable marines who survived? Admittedly they usually die, but it soured my personal experience.

Assassins Creed Brotherhood is awesome. I'm a bit disapointed by the multiplayer but the storyline and free roam is great.

This has been a good year, overall. For 2010 console releases, I played:

Mass Effect 2, Transformers: War for Cybertron, God of War III, Final Fantasy XIII, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Red Dead Redemption, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Super Street Fighter IV, Fable III, Fallout: New Vegas

Favorite Character -- Lightning from FFXIII (Juri from Super Street Fighter 4 is a close second)

Favorite Story Moment -- the entire plot of Transformers: War for Cybertron was a masterpiece of progressive nostalgia

Favorite Gaming Moment -- breaking my first Kentucky Saddler in Red Dead

Favorite Setting Visual Design -- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Favorite Character Visual Design -- Transformers: War for Cybertron

Favorite Character Animations -- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Favorite Voice Acting -- Fallout: New Vegas

Favorite Soundtrack -- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Worst Story Moment -- final battle of Castlevania: Lord of Shadows

Worst Gaming Moment -- NPC interaction in Fable III

*overall, giving Dragon Age a second chance turned out to be the biggest waste of 2010 for me, games wise*

Game I Probably Should Have Played -- Heavy Rain

Game I Most Hope Will Have a Sequal -- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Best game: Red dead redemption

Best Gaming Moment : BattleField Bad Company 2, free falling from the exploding plane, and the fight in mid-air

Best Looking Game : Ratchet and Clank, A Crack in Time (technically came out last year, but i got it in april)

Most Enjoyable Game : Super Mario Galaxy 2

Best Music : Super Mario Galaxy 2

Most wacked up StoryLine : Call of Duty, Black Ops

Most addictive online play : Call of Duty, Black Ops/ BF, BC2

Best Gameplay Mechanic : the different power-ups in Super Mario Galaxy 2

Best Game : Super Mario Galaxy 2

I was told to get in on this thread, but I haven't touched a new console game in 2010.

I bought Civ the other day. I refuse to install it on my computer.

I'm tired, so I'm only contributing a little tid-bit.

Best "for the lulz" moment: Using the "happy fun time" weapon at the end of AC: Brotherhood.

Hands down the best game I've played in YEARS is Mass Effect 2. The story wasn't as good as ME1, but my god the gameplay was great, and the character/voice acting was wonderful. I think I've run through the game twice from ME1 to end of ME2, and 3 times just ME2. Never the same twice which is crazy considering how "small" the game world is compared to the Sandbox games I usually play.


Fallout New Vegas wasn't bad at all, but apparently the non console versions were plauged with typical Bethesda bugs.

my fave this year that came out this year would have to be Need for speed Hot persuit.

Just a note, its the third game to have that name. Yes, need for speed 3,6 and 15 are called hot persuit.
