the Aurora Chapter focuses on lightining assaults so that includes Pods.

White Scars certaintly would favor Drop Pods although Mech in general would be more appropriate.

BAs certaintly would in the original stages of Planetary invasion.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Ummm...somewhere...

I know the Raven Guard specialize in drop pod assaults quite frequently, and also the Ultramarines second company use them as well IIRC, and there is a Special Character in the marines codex that leads them I believe

- "Do not believe in me who believes in you, do not believe in you who believes in me, but believe in you who believes in yourself! DUMBASS!"
~Dark Eldar- Pirates of the Crystal Moon - 2400 points 38/15/4
~Pre-heresy Luna Wolves- WIP! (Probably gonna be a while)
~Recently sold sisters, GW ruined them for me their burning of xeno's will be remembered! (Friend bought them back for me, making them work, statement so far half stands after a lesson learnt)
~ SKAVEN - 1000 points and growing, just have assassinate a few warlords to get my way...need more cheese...

I thought the aurora chapter specialised in mechanised assaults?

There's one listed as using drop pods in the 5e codex... just go read the four pages or so on minor chapters; hardly laborious

Ragnar's Great Company is known for massed Drop Pod assaults. Infact, he is so prolific at the tactic, that when his company goes to war in this method, it is known as "The Claws of Russ." -Paraphrased from SW 5e Codex.

Pre-rebellion Sould Drinkers were ship combat specialists that made extensive use of drop pods as boarding craft. They're fun to paint too so I'd go with them.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

You have a lot of options here. If you want to just make your own chapter.

Do not forget The Luna Wolfs/Sons of Horus, if you fancy some pre-heresy drop pod action, Horus was famous for starting all invations by drop pod attack on the head of state.

It has been varified by John Hurt that the Ultramarines are indeed the greatest space marine chapter.
