So, its that time of the year again! No not the holdiday season!!!!

It's time for...OUTRAGEOUS, the epic way of mashing 3000 Points worth of units into a list, an absoulutely absurd list that would have little practical value against normal lists, but significant value against another three similar lists.

O.K. now. Every year me and my friends are tasked with coming up with the most insane out-of-the-box army we can come up with, and is fielded in the 3000ish points range(we played 4k per army last year). It follows apocalypse ruling, meaning Force Organization is out the window, aside from HQ and 2 troops. The race is on, and I need to come up with two lists this year, (one for nids, and one for marines). Apocalyptic units CANNOT be used, unless stated (this year we cannot). These lists feature things from entire armies of Special Characters, to a gabillion trukks...

This year i'm asking for help, for those of you owning a 5th edition Space Marines codex (many do), or a 5th edition Tyranids codex, I'm asking your help in coming up with one of the craziest lists you can come up with. Effective or not, it doesn't matter... 3000-4000 Points, 6 Special Characters at the most. Please state your number of total points in compiled list...

Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

Yes to both, Proxying is VERY common in this game... BUT, it must stay within one codex...

Death Company bash:

HQ:

Astorath the Grim, Mephiston

Troops:

25 Death Company, Jump packs, Power Weapon, one Thunder Hammer (2 of this squad)

Total: 3000 points exactly. Add 10 more Jump Pack and Power Weapon equipped Death Company to each squad (so 20 more in total) for a 4000 point list.

Tyranids:

2 squads of min Termagants and fill out the rest with Tervigons equipped with whatever you like.

This was done one year. We spend more time laughing over the armies we field, and the near insane results gained... My carnifexes managed to down 7 before they were gobbled up under the power of 18 remaining S10 AP2 blasts... They also blew up two of their vindicators this way......

Sternguard was what I was thinking this year... them, or Scout Bikers... And a firebase of thuderfire cannons...

And to the above, I could imagine the number of FnP I could be passing around!

Basically 3/6 of the board instead.

so over half the board (about 3.3/6?) i was thinking bunched together for deployment then spread out afterwards

you could always go the 18 tervigon + 2x 12 termagants way, not as many termagants overall but 10.5 per turn per tervigon with a 40% chance to not apawn any more for the rest of the game for each tervigon.

thats an average of 189 first turn (40% less each turn after so 189 => 113.4 => 68.04 => 40.824 => 24.4944)

and anyway who doesent want to roll 54 dice to see how many termagants they get

or you could just have a giant circle of monoliths around your lord and warriors......
