Hey, I'm from Northwest Indiana (Lowell) And I have no friends out here who play 40k. My stuff just sits on my shelf and I wanna use it but have no one to play against. I don't have a drivers license yet and my nearest Games workshop is 2 and a half hours away. You can Imagine how my parents complain about the distance, and I only get to go out there less then 3 times a year. It's a big disappointment. So if anyone near me is reading this, please.. tell me. I'm still a beginner but I'm not totally clueless and I've got a pretty good size Chaos army. I'll be 16 next week.. so just clearing up im not a little kid. Thanks for anyone who's reading this.

You don't have to go to a gw store to find a game. You have quite a few stores around you, as far as i know most of the Lowell players have pretty much stopped playing, or moved from the area. Your going to be driving soon, and when you do there is a store in Hobart, Critical effect that has a pretty healthy 40k scene. Last year there was even a tournament at the fair grounds in Cp.

http://www.criticaleffectgames.com/ for there info. Not sure when our next tournament is going to be but if you call you'll be able to find out when people are there to play. Shouldn't have a hard time finding a game. Just be ready to have the snot kicked out of your army , its the only way to learn. That driver license opens up a whole new world. I think we have only one kid around your age that plays with us, and yea sorry my friend, your still a kid to a lot of us old vets!. Its no battle bunker but it sure as heck isn't a 2 hour drive from Lowell.

Yeah don't take it personally but there is alot of old dinosaurs running around on this website... I got kids your age and have been playing longer than you have been alive. Are you a lil kid, no but like any gaming community you earn your place, though the elderly will look at ya funny when ya first step into the store. Sadly driving is almost required as you need the ability to come and go as the game demands, not to mention vittles. As a former minor gamer it is tough but stick with it, I have alot of life long friends I met through the hobby and meet more all the time.

As far as the store goes, the website is a good start but pics of the store would be nice. I live just west of the Ind. border and would like more info. The closest GW store is heavy into WHFB and very little 40k goes on. When do they play, standard size? etc.
