So here's my problem, beast 09 is my favorite jack in khador, i use him every chance i get but i really don't like his model.
So soon..ish (Christmas) I'm getting an extreme Juggernaut, so with some time my intention is to make a kickass beast 09 but I need to be sure he will be tournament legal.
I'll make his axe longer and paint the runes on, he will look notably different from my juggernauts, so I'm asking anyone here who has ran a tournament.

Would you be cool with this?

The only problem is that the conversion policy of PP states that the models have to based on the original model =p

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

true, but if you have a decent playgroup it really doesnt matter as long as the conversion is clean. ive never been asked what my etreme 09 was.

I have noticed that most conversion problems come from other players not to's. A couple years ago at gen con I saw a player get disqualified from an event because of the fit his opponent threw over some conversions in his army.

We have a couple TO's locally that are pretty strict about it. I could see some grief like in the case of subbing the Black 13th because the models are God Awful, but that sounds like a case of the TFG's.

The PP conversion rules specifically state that the TO can make exceptions for any reasonable conversion - so just make sure you clear it with the TO first, and then it doesn't matter what your opponent does. Keep a regular version on hand (and painted) so if the TO says no, you have an alternate model to use.

Here is an excerpt from the PP conversion rules:

Model Conversion Rules
Playing with a uniquely individualized and painted force is one of the most rewarding aspects of the
hobby. Just as with information disclosure and sportsmanship, players are expected to be unambiguous
about model representation. The following rules must be adhered to when using converted models in
organized play. These rules are meant not to limit a player’s modeling options but rather to allow
creativity without generating an environment that could become confusing during game play. At his
discretion, an event organizer can make exceptions to these rules to approve any reasonable
conversion.

Probably a good idea would be to write (paint?) the models name on the front of the base - so if it is Beast '09, write Beast '09 on the front of the base so that there can be no doubt on the part of your opponent.
