i thought i'd play in my next LGS tournament with like i said a Nontraditional List - This list is more for fun but still has the potential to do a lot of damage.

With this list I do have 25 points left over at the moment ill probably end up putting either flamers into my chosen squads.

Also this army is painted up as the (Tainted) Fire-Hawk space marines before the Imperial Armor Book changed a lot of there fluff, so they do have the original mushroom cloud on the shoulder pad. This is for the Fluff and painting portion of the tourney. I need an idea for my second Daemon Prince if anyone could give me a good idea ill see if i can get it done.

I would exchange a vindicator and those 25 points for a 2x obliterator squad.
Then You could "double" your troops by just splitting them into 4 squads, 2x6 man CC squad with champ and fist and 2x5man combat squad with icon and plasma, thus these last pair of squads could get cover from those CC squads marching in front of them, just until they move aside for plasma to shoot.
You force your opponent to divide fire power or even choose one and spare the other, which is target saturation in essence. For Ld checks, CC squad uses champ's Ld 10 and plasma squad rerolls if failing...
Yeah, you loose both lascannons, but at 1500 you might already have enough as is. (although all troops on foot dramatically reduces their life span, I think)

Sorry it was late last nite when i put this up and this is the strategy with this army.

This army is meant to sit back and shoot and not move pretty much at all. You have the choosen as speed bumps, after the first round of fire they are there to throwing them into fights to hold back things you don't want near. Also to take pop shots at whats needed to be shot. The second speed bump is the lash princes they push units back that you don't want in combat and bunch them up to blast them with a vinicator. at the last 2 turns if need be the CSM run for an objective

It's a neat list; getting firepower into more Force Org slots. I'm not sure how effective it'll be. 4 ACs and 3 Lascannons isn't all that much firepower, even for 1500.

If I were to make a suggestion without substantially altering the list, it'd be to drop the Havoc, and use your 40pts on a pair of meltaguns for the CSMs (in case an enemy vehicle gets close), and four flamers spread around your Chosen.

Alternately, you could take out the Havoc & one Icon of Glory, and afford a single meltagun for each squad of CSM and Chosen.
