This is something at a zoo in Hokkaido in the north of Japan, which is very cold.

Wild monkeys do this too if they have a hot spring.

I bet it is cold when they come out of the water.

Taking an onsen while it is snowing is a great experience -- as a human you can scurry inside to your towel.

I intially read this as some kind of Monkey uprising.

They've been trying that too.

If we've learned anything from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, its that Monkey Brains should be served chilled, not boiled.

And from Indiana Jones in general: if the Monkeys are dead, the dates are bad.
