Let me just say before I begin the battle report that my army list was completely unbalance due to part of my army not being present at the tourney. I also dont know my opponents list, but Ill try at it.

Heavy Support:
Land Raider (Kharn and Beserkers in the Land Raider)
Defiler
Vindicator
The mission was Standard Kill points with a Pitched Battle Setup. The only draw was that after deployment, each army could choose the other armie's HQ unit, and attach it to one of their own units. Once that unit is destroyed, it is free to do what it wants. Of course he took Nightbringer, and I took the Demon Prince.
All terrain was medium sized buildings, spread in a line along the middle of the board. He set up his defiler to my left, HIs Vindictaor in the centere, the Rhino next to that, the Land raider to my right, and the rhino with the regular marines in it to my far right. I Put a unit of warriors and a Destroyer Lord in front of the Defiler and Plague Marine Rhino, The Scarabs were next to that. I put another unit of warriors in one of the buildings, and the last unit of warriors next to them. My destroyers were dead center.
I failed to capture the initiative.
Chaos Turn 1:
He moved all his vehicles up to try and get in shooting range. His vanquisher was immobilised when he tried to go through cover. His Land Raider shot down two warriors on my far right. His defiler shot at my destroyers, and killed one. Thats all
Necron Turn 1:
My destroyer got back up, as well as a warriors. I moved my scarabs up to within assaulting distance of the Land Raider. My Destroyers position to shoot at the defiler. My Necron Lord moved over to attack the plague marine rhino. My warriors got inside a building for cover. My far right warrior squad shot at the Marine rhino, glancing it to death. They all got out. My Destroyers shot at the Defiler, hitting half and none penning. My scarabs assaulted the Land Raider and imobilised it. My Necron Lord assaulted the Plague Marine Rhino and did absolutely nothing. Necrons:1 KP Chaos:0
Chaos Turn 2:
He moved his Chaos Space Marines forward. His beserkers got out with kharn. His plague Marines got out. His defiler Moved forward. His defiler shot at my warriors and dropped two. His vanquisher shot at my far right warriors and killed one, his land raider shot at my right warriors, and did nothing. The plague Marines assaulted my Necron Lord, and did nothing while my Lord killed 3 of them. The Beserkers did nothing. The Chaos Marines ran this turn
Necron Turn 2:
I moved my one warriors squad towards the Marine squad in order to RF. I did the same thing towards the beserkers. My warriors shot at the marine squad, and killed 5 of them. They failed their leadership test and fell back. My other squad shot at the beserkers, and killed 5 of them plus a wound on kharn. My destroyers shot at the defiler, and stunned it. The scarabs assaulted the beserkers and did nothing, while losing a swarm. The lord did nothing, and lost a wound.
Chaos Turn 3:
He moved up his rhino to try and tank shock my left warriors. He regrouped his warriors, and moved them up a little more. His Defiler moved to assault my Necron Lord. He shot his Vanquisher cannon, and missed hitting his own squad of marines, killing 2. In shooting, he shot at my warriors with his marines and killed one. He shot at the same squad with his defiler and killed 4. His Land raider shot at my right warriors squad, and killed two. In assault He killed 3 more swarms and kharn killed one of his own men (YAY). My Necron Lord killed the remainder of the Plague Marines, except for the leader. The defiler assaulted the Lord and wounded him again.
Necron Turn 3:
All my warriors came back except for one in each squad. I deep striked my flayed ones into right in front of the vanquisher and next to the scarab assault. I moved all the warriors to shoot at the remainder of the Marines. In shooting, I shot at the Rhino to the left, and immobolised it with out a weapon. I shot at the Defiler with the destroyers and did nothing. I also shot at the remainder of the Marines, and killed them. In assault My scarabs got knocked down to one swarm and did nothing. My Necron Lord did nothing, and got killed by the Defiler.
Chaos Turn 4:
This is where the gak hit the fan. Basically My Scarabs died, and the beserkers consolidated towards the land raider. His defiler shot at my far left warrior squad and some how killed them all. The vanquisher killed my flayed ones in one shot, and the land raider killed half my destroyers. Holy gak, i cant believe he killed that much in one turn. necrons are supposed to be the most resilient army in the game. Resilient my ass.
Necron Turn 4: It all depended on my Necron Lord getting back up, otherwise none of my other units would get WBB. He didnt get up. I shot at the remaininng Plague Marine with My Destroyers and killed it. I decided the only way to win would be to wipe out the beserkers and kharn, giving me back nightbringer. All my warriors left shot at them, and killed everything except a singe beserker. dammit. I knew he was just gonna move them back into the Land raider, so I just surrendered as there was no way to win.
Final Notes: I was actually winning most of the game, until that fateful turn 4. If the Flayed Ones had joined the beserker fight, they probably would have died due to the leadership roll. My destroyers were shooting at the defiler the whole game, and only stunned it once. They failed. My necron Lord did okay, whiping out a squad of Plaguemarines. I figure, if I had Nightbringer from the beginning, I would have easily won.(My opponent agreed) None of his army had anything to really kill the Nightbringer except the Land Raider, which I would have killed in turn 2. My warriors could have targeted the demon prince and other vehicles, while my nightbringer ripped gak up. This entire battle was doomed from when I lost my 360 point model. Anyways it was a good battle. Chaos are good, but very beatable. They seem to fall down pretty easily. I wish I had a more balanced list (Nightbringer, Monolith, loads of destroyers) but as i said, I got screwed over. I was gonna include my second game against Dark Eldar, but I got raped pretty badly and embarrasiingly. My necrons need work as well as a new codex.
