So I read a quick mention of this somewhere... Could someone please enlighten me? Thanks!

Afaik 2 Necron cruisers got into the Sol system and landed on Mars before anyone could stop them they landednear the Noctis Labyrinth and as they tried to take off the were destroyed by general shootings from Mars.
The AdMech then found the landing site and the Noctis Labyrinth (Said to be the hiding place of the Void Dragon who is hiding from he Outsider who is crazy. They're both C'tan) and began excavating it after that there is nothing else.
(The Emperor was said to have put the Void Dragon into the Labyrinth in return for the Void Dragon making everyone on Mars completly nuts about technology so that when bad stuff happened there would always be some technology left)

What's even more impressive is that he didn't do anything in "return", he beat up the Void Dragon and planted it on Mars, knowing that he'd need the AdMech in about 28600 years, AND he did this in the 1400's. Yes, you read that right, the Emperor visited Mars, along with a badly bruised Void Dragon, 600 years ago!

i think hopping over to Mars wouldn't be too much of a problem.

The Blood Angels codex allows for psykers to psychically create wings to move them around the battlefield. I see no problem with the Emperor, the most power psyker ever, thus being able to fly to Mars.

The Outsider is the most powerful C'tan.
Everyone fers it. Or a least they should. They probably would if they knew about it.

Weakened or not he is still hiding behind an empire.

While I agree that is it possible for the Emperor to travel disembodied from Terra to Mars, towing the c'tan essence with it, it is far more likely, I think, that he simply trapped the creature on Earth somewhere for a time. And then when we started expanding into the stars, he travelled to Mars and planted the Dragon there several hundreds or a few thousand years after defeating it.

or his weakened state makes him too weak to fight the outsider (of which the deceiver made the outsider insane as mentioned in codex necrons) so he must feed off of the souls given to him in order to regain strength

But The Outsider is trapped in a dyson sphere (That he made the great loon) so the Void Dragon could have apicic on top and still be safe.
Bu since he is hiding in a Labyrinth on Mar we can assume he is hiding from either the Emperor or The Outsider and which one of them do we know to be a Star God of unholy power that fought against the Old Ones? (It's the Outsider)

Or, we can assume that being shot by a Blackstone Fortress hurts you, even if you're an inter-celestial God, and that you actually need a pretty long time to recover.

He has had a while to recover... couple of thousand milenia
OTOH it is possible the Emperor imprisoned him properly and the Labyrint is sooo hard he can't find his way out.

If the Outsider ever gets out of the Dyson Sphere reality is screwed. The only thing that might manage to survive is probably chaos. Eve then they would be weakened.

1. Necron warriors in drop pods.
2. Deep striking Land Raiders with the living metal rule that teleport stuff.
3. Land Raiders with heavy gauss cannon sponsons would look boss.

In a sense, yes. But its going to get awfully lonely once they realize every raiding party sent out in the past year has never been seen since.

I give them fifty years before they implode on each other, one hundred tops.

Don't the void dragon and outsider hate each other, they'd be too busy trying to eat each other.

Only with homebrew rules could you do any of these things

I know, but if the void dragon woke up and didn't instantly destroy Mars, how much of the Mechanium would follow it. I seriously think it would become a second Heresy.
And anything with a machine spirit might revolt on the spot.

Of course, GW will never advance the storyline, so we will never know.
