Ok I've poured over the Vanilla Codex and the Rule Book and I have found nothing about this, yet the Librarian has it as an upgradeable piece of wargear. Why?! What does it do?

Did I just totally miss this info in the codex, because I swear I've looked it over like 3-4 times.

Anyways, any help with what exactly this upgrade does would be most helpful/appreciated, thanks.

It's not wargear. It's an upgrade to the character and allows you to use two powers per turn. Look in the entry under Librarian in the middle of the book.

Agnosto is correct. It's an upgrade to the character itself that allows it to use two psychic powers a turn.

Yes, in the entry for Librarians in C:SM, it says that you can upgrade a Libby to an Epistolary, granting the use of up tp 2 psychic power per turn.

However, you can only use one of each type per turn. Meaning you can do one shooting attack and one boosting attack, but not 2 shooting attacks.

Also, their force weapons, if you want to use them in CC, need a psychic test, so if you have already used your 2 powers that turn, you cannot use the force weapons ability.

So would you be able to use the init 10 power and s6 power in same turn? Do not have codex on me.

You can use two powers a turn, and only one PSA per turn. So if you buy this you can be init10 S6

What did you pour on the codex?

Also, note that the epi upgrade is *not* wargear, it is an upgrade. Unit specific upgrades are always found in that units fluff entry.
