Ty. I intend to make an entire squad of them and play them as snipers (the sergeant will be a spotter) Until I finish them, I'll simply ask if my opponent will let them take the independent character special rule. Anyone have ideas for anything else I could do with my snipers? I was kind of think an urban camo squad as well but that would be harder to do...

Ghillie suits are usualy covered in fine strands of cloth/wood and other fibres I'm not sure how your going to be able to recreate that on a mini have you tried using a couple of different types of flock on a piece of that gause to see how it works.... I suppose the difficulty with making a good ghillie suit would be that the model underneath should be near unrecognisable.

What I've tried on this one is this: I took some granny grating and bent it into the rough form of how the suit would fit onto the marine. I painted it with a black base coat, then a dark green. I then applied PVA in the places I wanted the flock to stick to and then poured the grass flock over it. I used superglue to attach the cloak to the marine and then proceded to attack smaller bitz of ghillie across some parts of his body and lascannon. I've been working on some short lengths of single strips of the grating and painting it and attaching flock which I will later attach to the cloak and the marine as a whole. He's going to go with a city of death I'm working on that has been overgrown with plants that have been growing out of biodomes which were busted open by bombs. I use the term granny grating here as it seemed the most appropriate word. It's a metal screen/fibre/thing. I think you guys get the idea though.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The marine underneath being invisible is actually kind of a blessing. I didn't want him to show through the cloak so he has nothing but a black abse coat and straight green, no highlights or trim in some places, with the exception of his eyes which are actually painted.
